Up until 2 weeks ago, I was thinking that the processing time is 12-13 months from the date our applications are received at CIO. Well, all we can do now is wait 4 more months....

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I was hoping to receive MR by end of May and COPR by end of July, but that was just a wishful thinking. lol I hope my GCMS notes have something meaningful in them at least.

But most of the people got there PR in one year, start from date applications received at CIO- till one year(12 months). if you check the spreadsheet of each month from 2012 to 2014. I don't know, make me correct

It seems that some VO are appointed to deal with EE, and the remained CEC applications are being processed by much less officers, which leads to much longer time. The former data are not consistent to current conditions.

The truth is those August applicants just started getting their MRs. It is 2 months later than expected.

Same here got approved for Nova Scotia Nominee program expire Aug. But waiting on CEC because they already take the money off. I would say wait since they took the money.

same board man... NSPNP too. just keep in touch. i think we ve to wait until july

Has anyone considered applying for EE as well? 1st person just got their PR status through EE so it looks like it may be a faster (but expensive option)

No update in august thread this week... :(

Just sharing a sad story...
Me (sep 2014 applicant) & my friend (Oct 2014 applicant)applied under CEC within one month difference same noc code but his file got returned because of cap limit.
later he applied through EE & got invitation in the month of Feb now current status is, his medical also approved & hopefully he would be getting passport request within 1 month......
We are in waiting mode...EE is far far better.....in terms of time...

I am an Oct. applicant. When should I do the upfront Medical check to reduce the total waiting time? May or June which is better?

Is it sad story? It is good for him because think about the work he did to apply under EE from CEC. You will be good but time :)

Upfront doesn't help reduce the total waiting time.

September 2 applicant here. Got my GCMS notes this morning (requested on March 26).

It doesn't say much other than "Criminality: In progress" and "Security: Not started".

It looks like we'll actually have to wait for a few more months to hear something from them...
