For all those who received bowp on paper application , I see it is received normally a week after approval , but how do you know about approval date ?

And anyone applied TRV so far ??
If yes , in how many days u got it ? And was it online or paper ?

There is some activity happening on July application. They are receiving RCMP request.

It`s been pretty stressful, I already lost my workers status because it took to long for the AOR and I could not bridge the permit. Now i am just sitting home and doing nothing I guess.

Buddy not sure why you didnt apply for BOWP without AOR ? Probably you could have applied with an explanation letter asking them to check your client id while processing. Coz by the time time they look into ur application you muct hav got ur AOR as you did receive now.

Am probably 2 month away from a state you are in my friend. Yes its getting stressful day by day

Yea man CBE canada is right .. y would u not apply for a bridging open permit without an AOR.. all u needed was an explanation letter
u shud have consulted with us here.
So now what r ur options>?

try applying for open work permit online, your ultimate loss would be $155 we are just gambling, if CEC or visa officer consider that it was their fault for this bizarre to happen you will get rewarded with work permit. Sitting back home will gain you nothing man!!!

in between, i received AOR yesterday evening around 7 pm MST.

Now waiting for work permit, the AOR has 29th jan 2015 date stamp on it and I have sent my paper based application on 6th Nov for BOWP new employer I don't know whether they have already processed my work permit or they hv not.... cuz so far no mail from them.

We`ll guys its more complicated than you think.

So My status expired back in NOV 5th 2014. (PGWP)
I applied through Opportunities Ontario too, thus waiting for my nomination (my company already got approved). But I was not able to receive it before the 2500 cap, so they transferred to 2015.
I also applied for change of status to Visitor (in order to get a nomination you need some status) they still haven't approved it.

Its been 87 days since my Permit expired, thus I have 3 days to make up my mind if I try to restore my status to a worker, but its a 50% change if I get lucky. So i am not sure what to do yet :'(

Don't want to risk having too many applications and refusals.

Another thing it says if your status renewal gets rejected and you don't get approved you need to leave the country immediately. I don't feel like I wanna go to Ukraine just yet

hey man blitzkrieger is correct
Some of the work permit officers are very lenient .. Ive had good experience with them cos this is probably my 5th work permit
So apply again asap and let the application get into the pipeline before ur restoration date passes by.
Officers are well aware that it needs an AOR to get an open permit so they will mostly consider ur case ..
make sure to right a nice letter in which u can show how distressed u really .
