One thing I noticed - ECAS update is happening within 2 working days for us. But for July applicant it took at least 5 days also.

My close work permit extended and I git new WP. Do I need to send this or I need to wait till they asked for???

My application appears as "In process" on the cic website (I'm not allowed to post links, but you can find the website by googling cic application status)

Some nice guy at CIC decided to send me AOR after 137 days (Jan 26).

Congratulations! zareef, I hope you stay with us though. At least until the rest of the September applications are processed! We need someone to keep the spreadsheet up to date hehehe - miglop2014 abandoned us, I think we became way too pessimistic so I don't blame him. He is missed though!

My Open work permit expires on March 20th 2015. I’m wondering what to do at this point. No AOR yet. My application receive date at NS Sydney is 26th September. I believe AOR should be coming before Feb 10th latest (hoping so  ). Current processing time for the WP is 45 days I believe. Should I apply for BOWP with an explanation letter or should I wait till AOR arrives ? Considering my situation what who you do ? Expert advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

CBE im in the same situation.. my work permit expires on mar 19 and i still havent recieved my AOR .. And i file reached CIO on Sep 29

I will suggest to wait till your AOR.

Winterfox and Sahatamojit, Thanks for the replies friends. Not to be negative, just in case if AOR arrives only by end of Feb or first week of March. In that case is it ok to apply for BOWP at the last minute ? As far as I heard there should be no problem rite? correct me if im wrong or is there any complications that I dont know which I should be aware of ?
Another case is if my application is returned ( dont want to be too negative but just worried about the possible outcomes ....... ) by end of feb or something is it too late at that time to apply for LMO ?

Also please post any threads links for LMO which I can go through.

Please advice...

You dont need an LMO.
you're on open work permit so all u need to do is apply with an explanation letter stating that you havent recieved ur aor yet cos the process has slowed down and that u have just under 46 days in ur current permit and since processing takes 46 u decided to just apply without an AOR.. or u can apply at the last minute too and by then u shud get ur aor

One guy whom I know here in Windsor, ON did apply for Work permit and his application was on hold for over 4 months. As he didnt have a PR application in place that might be the reason I believe. And he just left the country before 2 days .. felt sad. I felt i'm Im in the same boat just 2 months behind him

Hi if your money has been deducted.. then they wont be returning ur application back. And for them to reject u .. that will take some months buddy.. so u can relax.
yes if application is rejected then an LMO is the only way .. but looking at the amount of time we have from now till they make a decision... u will probably get ur bowp before all this happens.. so ur safe
