Just called CIC Call center.
Some nice lady picked the call and all she said was --- they are actively working on your file and we at the call center can not poke them to take further action only because they are already working on it.

When I asked her, what stage the file is at; she said --- Everything is ready and it's in the final review stage. She also added that, it does not mean that they will not need any information from you.

I wonder when I will get my PPR
They told me the same thing. Did they tell you when last time your file was touched? or may be a note from officer?

No I asked her specifically about it. She said she would not have that information but they are actively working on it.

The last time I called, there was a guy you said: at this point it's only a good news. So sit back and relax. No clue why it differs from one agent to another.

Do you know what's the funds behind email batches? Is there a time when this batch will be sent out? It feels as if they club all applications in similar stage, wait until a certain number and send bulk PPR like what happened on June 8th!

Heres what I observed

1 > First Step

Main thing for your application is your assessments. That is..

1 Security
2 Criminality
3 Eligibility
4 Medicals

When they are done and notes says all PASSED, then the same 4 assessment goes for your spouse. This is why our application is delayed as we have added our spouses on a later stage of the application.

so for your spouse ...

2> Second Step

1 Security
2 Criminality
3 Eligibility
4 Medicals

3> Third Step

if everything is PASSED then, they will asses your relationship. You will see in GCMS as well, spousal relationship looks legit or something..

4 >Fourth step is RFV Check....

Here a vo will take a look at your application and decide if its ready for visa....

5> Fifth Step is Appears to be ready for visa

Now your application is ready for a final review by a senior officer (which might be your stage at this moment)

6> Sixth step Application is Approved

7 > Seventh Step Ready for Visa email sent.

if they have issue in RFV check it can take longer than expected....

For example. Everything is your file passed but your medicals expired. Like we have Canadababu's case. His wife's medicals are now expired.

Another example is : your passport is about to expire. you have appied bowp and its still in process. etc etc.

In this case application can be delayed until they request your new medical and you submit them. once you submit them they begain RFV check again.

How could applying for BOWP change things here? Does applying for BOWP put the file back in the queue?

I am not 100% sure that it delays our application but I am assuming that they ve to wait until bowp application is approved. In our cases this is not the factor as our applications were still in process NOT ready for visa when we submitted our BOWP.

Hello, I have a question here from a friend's current experience. He got refused CEC and he wrote letters to appeal the decisions. The strangest thing happened yesterday. The BOWP he applied for that was also refused was reopened. A mail was sent to check his CIC account and he got a letter heading"other" a PDF was attached with a work permit format water marked "preview" but no data. What does this mean?

I have sent a mail to CPC Ottawa regarding expired medicals of my wife, but haven't got a reply.
Generally how long does it take for them to reply.

I tried calling CIC couple of times @ 1 888 242 2100, but it is always disconnected saying we have high volume of calls.
Is there any other way to contact them.

Check spam. I saw some applicants here receiving it in spam folder.
