I switched job after submitting my PR application, Do we need to update CIC regarding this change.

I am Sep 2014 candidate.

If you read your AOR email, they have advised to inform them of any change and also provided an email address to send the changes to.

I changed my employer too , and I called CIC regarding this and agent told me that you will be assessed based on your previous experience. So we don't need the extra information. We will email you if we need any information.

Just got my GCMS notes...there's nothing much in it.
Security--Not started
Criminality-- In progress

I'm a 25th Sep 2014 applicant. I guess we'll have to wait bit more.

Only if your marital status or your residing address is changed then you need to update. If you are changing your name or something.
Anything that affects your current application should be updated.
I don't think employment change to be updated to them.

I called CIC today to inquire about the status of my application. I was told that September 2014 CEC applicants should expect some communication from CIC by January. I was advised to call again if I don't get any correspondence/notification by mid-January. So it seems at least there is a timeline...

My opinion .... CIC agents don't have a clue about timing because it's not depending on them, but it's depending by the CIC officers.

CIC agents are there just to give you the idea that you can communicate with the CIC office, but in reality they're paid just to answer the phone and get time with excuses.

Reality is that June and July applications are moving forward step by step

We just have to wait patiently

Hi, 23rd Sep, 2014 applicant here. Just called CIC call centre, and the agent mentioned that application should be finalized (Security & everything) by 23rd March 2016. That's 18 months from date received.

they also told that files will be processed in 14 months after the date received, when the actual processing time on their website was 12 months.

True, but hoping that, since June/2014 applicants are getting updates in Dec 2015 (18 months), perhaps Sep ones will be in Mar 2016!

June 2014 applicants were getting updates for as long as I remember. They might continue to get updates through Dec 2020! ;p

true, but that applicant added a rep/lawyer in september who has been communicating with CIC continuously (sending emails and letters)

That doesnt make any difference. Even i have a representative. Cic processes file on their sweet time they dont care abt emails from reps. If they did im sure they wudve processed most of the fils as many ppl have been trying to communicate with them. Its just time for aug applicants i think.
