nobody can give you a concrete answer.

Now some of the June applicants expired with both of it. When they queried to them, they got reply back as "We cannot tell on when your file will be finalized.(then who will tell it ) CEC is a popular program and huge volume of application reached before Jan 2015 (we know the count as 8000 as per CAP ), it is still continued to be processed.

Be patient and forget that you applied for PR".

so the 14 months timeline has no meaning to ask based on that.

If you feel your file is not touched for a long period, communicate to them in any of 2 modes, if you are luck you will get prompt response on where your application stuck otherwise some standard email you will get.

Mode 2
Call the call center and check your application status. (Be polite on talk)
The number is 18882422100
Then you press 1 or 2 (for French or English).
Then: 1 then 1 then 3 then 1. I did that yesterday and was able to speak to someone after 20min of wait!

exactly, am a mid-august applicant and sent a follow up email yesterday (as i am tired of calling and getting rudest responses ever), received following response within hours :

The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is a popular program, and CIC received a high volume of CEC paper applications prior to the launch of Express Entry on January 1, 2015. These applications continue to be processed.

Processing time for people who applied to CEC is available on our website. This information is updated quarterly. Please consult our website for posted processing times:

Anyone in GTA willing to team-up and meet the ThornHill-Unionville MP - who is the immigration Minister in Jan/2016. Let me know, we can meet and chalk out further course of action. Looks like, CEC 2014 is a dead issue and unless there is some effort beyond calling nothing seems to move. At this rate, I wont be surprised we will be where we are till Jan/2017

Why Jan 2016? Why not earlier? I guess we need at least 100 people to show good presence. you can count me in. Can some one take the ownership of booking an appointment with the minister ? how does it work directly walking in or book a time with the minister?

Just wanted see if there is any progress in Dec, considering the new Govt came in few weeks back. Afraid if we meet him now, he may say we are streamlining etc., Looks like the most important thing this Govt., is to bring in Syrian refugees - I wish I could have been a refugee (no IELTS, no background check, no medical check, no processing fee and FREE air ticket from Syria to Canada, FREE health in Canada, FREE housing in Canada and 500 CAD per head, till they get on their feet. We all are paying for these folks who will have time of their life, while those who are paying for getting screwed - Amazing Liberals.

Mind you that in addition of these you mentioned above, some of them *might* have bought fake Syrian passport, pretend to be a refugee, taking a spot for a legit refugee, and use our very own tax payer's money to get weapons for terrorism in Canada.
Just look at what happened in Paris 2 days ago. If you were a highly educated legit refugee you might end up being not selected due to a terrorist having a fake Syrian passport taking your place.

this is the height of illiteracy. Are you actually saying the refugees are lucky. People who are dying and made to run away from their homes because they were being butchered like animals. God knows how many family members have died and you think they will have the time of their lives just cuz they have been given refuge in canada. If you wish you were one of them maybe go to Syria and be in their shoes first and then think if you wana be in their place. Think you should really think twice before posting such nonsense. ive been waiting for my pr for over 15 months but you dont have to take out your frustration on the wrong party. free air ticket lol youre amazingly stupid

its Injustice to us, nobody is processing anything, they are busy in getting Syrian refugees, nobody has control over them, they take their own time, I don't know when they will start working on old cec files
