My husband did call CPC-M just a few hours ago and they said that they are currently working on Sept 19 AORs. He told them that other applicants whose AORs are later than ours, have already been forwarded to their respective visa offices.. and they said that "some applications just fall into exemption time" and that these are chosen randomly. Wow really? You guys are all lucky. I guess we're the only ones here who weren't randomly chosen. Anyway, she said only to worry and call back when it says on the website that they are working on Sept 26 AORs and there is still no change in status.
Could the date of marriage matter? We got married just August this year.

Did he call from within Canada or outside?

Hi,

I called and they said my SA was October 8 and file sent to London. Please update the spreadsheet.

Hi.....just wondering about a question on what I saw on most spread sheets...that is the "additional documents". What are some of the additional documents the visa officer might request apart from pcc no submitted with initial application and why? Thanks

I've heard of them request "originals" of stuff, though it wasn't clear what, all I can think of is marriage or birth certificate.

Oh I see. And what has travel history got to do it the PR process. According to discussions on 2013 NDVO thread they were discussing about negative implications of travel history on the process. Is It good or bad having a living experience in Canada.

I think the reason they say having a "travel history" prolongs the PR process is because they need to do verification of whichever countries you've been to and you didn't commit any crimes there, were there with a genuine visa, etc. I'm guessing they don't just accept the PC certificates you've sent them, they must verify the validity through some means.

I don't see the harm in living in Canada though, they will want to verify you were here genuinely and so on.. However Canada police records, immigration records should be relatively easily available for them to access so it should be quick. Since you have already been here it also makes your identity more likely to be genuine.

Okay, it is important to note that i'm just stating my thoughts/ideas here. If anyone actually has experience with this please let us know, and definitely let us know if i'm totally wrong :D.

Not for ND office. ND requests passports at the very beginning of processing. So for NDVO passport request is more like stage 2 AOR.
