Hi all, my cc got charged yesterday 24th October 2013

Goad News!

So many CC applicant before you, but only one confirmed CC charges.
I think others also got their CC charged, but they are not regular to this forum, so we are not knowing about those charges.

One of my colleague has applied for BOWP with out AOR and with more than 4 months WP validity. He is expecting his AOR next week and his BOWP application is already 3 weeks old.

Logic he explains me that, His AOR would be ready by the time they start processing his BOWP. So he will be in the queue and gets his BOWP first. I don't want to take chances personally, because I need BOWP at any cost and I already have a drawback in the form of my current work permit validity which is more than 4 months old. Waiting for my freind's interesting case to see what is going to happen?

After the changes to the previous OB485, chances are his application will be rejected. If the VO is not willing to check his UCI for the AOR, he doesn't meet the eligibility criteria and therefore doesn't qualify for the BOWP.

Fingers crossed, hope he's lucky and gets it approved.

Speaking of my own application, I will wait until I meet the criteria and then apply for the BOWP.

Well, if $150 doesn't sound like a lot of money to you, it sure does to me. And I won't be wasting
or risking the money if I don't have to.
Also not sure about whether it's smart or not, as he applied knowing that he does not qualify. But like you said,
all we can do is wait and see.
According to the OB485-A he's not eligible, but it's up to the VO to approve or reject.

They have received a positive eligibility assessment on their PR application under one of the Economic Class programs above; and

HAVE received and not ARE ABOUT to receive 8)

My sincere apologies Toby if my statement hurts you. I am not saying $ 150 is less amount. But unfortunately this is the case we all are forced to and BOWP has unfortunately became a mandate for all of us for our survival.

Let me explain. We all work for an employer here in Canada working for a major banking client. The bank has decided not to keep any more LMO guys as their contractors from 1st Jan, 2014. My employer was forced to give a change of status for all his employees to the bank. So the status change of the current LMO guys into ICT / BOWP / PR would make them continue their stay in Canada. In a sense, we all should produce a status change before 20th December, 2013. I am with in the time limit of achieving it before 20th December if VO agrees to give a positive BOWP because my current WP is valid for more than 4 months. In my colleague's case, he has no time to wait before 20th December. He is taking the chances by paying $ 150 which would give him an opportunity to make 15 times better than $ 150 per month. It is an investment.

I am not generalizing my statement and my sincere apologies if it hurts anyone on this forum by any means. Sorry guys.
