CIC explained that "Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) calculates processing times from the day CIC receives an application to the day it makes a decision on the application.". Hello everybody, I haven't got any email I checked the status on line and says decision made, We will contact you to tell the decision.
That means?

We received your application for permanent residence on September 17, 2012.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Hi ainda,

As I know, DECISION MADE means "the eligibility review of the application and supporting documents has been completed", and CIC started next step that they decide to approve or reject.

I'm excited for that news.
I would like to edit this post and add my view soon later... Modified ;
I think that CIC (maybe your local visa office) will contact you via an e-mail or a regular mail. If you don't receive anything within next 90days, you probably can call CIC to ask.
I guess they will not return your application with the message "Your applications are not completed" because your CC was charged. It means they did your initial eligibility check... I think

I really strongly hope that your decision made is a good omen.
Good luck!

Application returned

Hi,

My application returned yesterday it had a check list of the immigration office and a letter stating that my affidavit for birth certificate was not in the format they wanted. Had to re-do the affidavit again yesterday and sent back again today.

Though all other things were checked as ok only this section was highlighted , I hope so the application get processed faster as its been already checked and i can get a PER by this month.

Any one with the same experience ??? where file has been sent back and re-submitted??

Hello Jaz,

Well at least they just requested documents, you just have to re-do it again, I have not heard back from them (same as ainda) since our credit card was charged in Nov-5th.

What is your status on e-CAS? Have you been checking this? Can anyone else post their e-CAS status and maybe add it on the table?, mine is In Process

Best Regards

Hi ds3010,

The charge was returned to my cc also i checked it today again. Now i have sent the application back with the new affidavit , guess they will process it again , since the check list they provided was checked for all saying "OK" it should be done fast and CC will be charged.

I don't have a file number to check.

Jaz you do not need a file number to check your e-CAS status. You can request information just by giving your Client UID (8-digit number ID for immigration), your Surname, Date of Birth and Place of Birth.

"affidavit for birth certificate was not in the format they wanted."

What do they mean by that?

Are you supposed to submit a translated copy of your birth certificate?

Did you only supply an affidavit or did you supply any other documents showing your DOB? The reason I am asking is because I didn't have a birth certificate either and my file got accepted. I did explain the documents in the cover letter though.

I supplied them with a copy of my birth certificate and an attested translation from notary..

I did not know they had a format for it. :o
