PNP is given priority processing - it's an extra 2k and requires employer sponsorship (in ON) so you would want something for your money!

Yeah in Alberta it cost the same

I thought they update it in every 3 months. I still dont understand HOW PNP is faster as it goes through the same path
"The processing times for the Canadian Experience Class and Live-in Caregiver Class are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013."
source: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-ec.asp

They might be updating this every three months but the processing times are calculated for one year duration (i.e. next stat might be from July 1 2012- June 30, 2013 if they follow this 3 month pattern). Btw, I am not sure if we have a view for monthly processing times.......

Hey Guys..!

Just some news on my case. I currently have 2 files in Process. 1st in FSW submitted in Dec 2011 and 2nd in CEC submitted on Sept 2012. I just received an email from my lawyer who I am consulting for my FSW application for a Medical Request. I'm not sure if the information really concerns to this Thread but I just wanted to update you all anyways..!

No News for the CEC Application for Sept 2012 for me though..!

I have another quick question for people who have already done their Medicals and are in Toronto. Please recommend the Doctor for eMedicals from the Panel based in Toronto Downtown.

Thanks you All..!

BOWP can be applied only when your WP is getting expired in 4 months and you get eligibility with your PR application.

Shortly before today’s noon deadline, PAFSO received a letter from the President of the Treasury Board responding to our offer of binding arbitration.

As he has stated publicly, Minister Clement has agreed to PAFSO’s offer of binding arbitration subject to “certain conditions”. PAFSO is reviewing these conditions and will follow up directly with the Treasury Board. PAFSO will need to assure itself that any arbitration mechanism allows for a full and fair hearing of arguments on both sides – an objective we are sure the Government shares.

PAFSO appreciates the Government’s attempt at finding a resolution to this dispute and remains hopeful that a responsible way forward can be agreed upon by both parties. Until agreement is reached, there will be no change in PAFSO’s job action measures.

PAFSO will update our members, the general public, and the media once we have more information to share.

Translation: Not over yet.

i guess right now they are cleaning up aug applicants who need second level of review, and then would move up to the September guys, who need additional reviews. ( So assuming it will take a few weeks before seeing MR for sept applicants )

Anyone hear anything?!

24 July 2013 - Statement by the Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers: PAFSO Responds to Government's Conditional Acceptance of Arbitration
This morning, PAFSO sent a letter to the President of the Treasury Board. The correspondence addresses the conditions which the Government is seeking to attach to its acceptance of binding arbitration.

While we would have preferred to initiate the arbitration process without preconditions, PAFSO is committed to finding a reasonable and responsible way forward which will allow for a full and fair hearing of arguments from both sides – an objective we are sure the Government shares.

We await the Government's response. Until the conditions for arbitration are resolved, there will be no change in PAFSO's job action measures.

PAFSO will update our members, the general public, and the media once we have more information to share.
