It also says that No Police Certificate provided for the Spouse when I DID sent it in!!!! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

This is killing me dont know what to do!!!! ANyone please help!!!!

I think I have shared my experience with you before but I will mention it again.....

When I added my spouse, I received an email from CPP - O that they need my marriage certificate to add my spouse to the file. I was 100% sure that I sent a photo copy of the Long Form Marriage Certificate with other documents. I replied to that email mentioning that I had provided the certificate but just in case it is missing I had attached the scanned copy of the certificate. I got a funny reply from them stating that Marriage Certificate is the only official document that is accepted as the proof of marriage.

Then I got a short form Marriage certificate issued from Service Ontario and send it via email. Then they confirmed that my spouse is added to the application.

On my GCMS notes they have mentioned that Marriage License/Marriage Certificate provided. Trust me I never sent them my marriage license. Only sent them two different versions of my Marriage Certificate.

Hi everyone

Just looking for a bit of advice. I have just gone into my 4 month period before my current working visa is to expire. As I have not received a MR yet and can not see it in the horizon anytime soon I am wandering if I should apply for the BWOP now or wait a little while more that way if I were to receive a negative response on my PR application (by the great gods this does not occur) I would have a full year from around about the end of my working visa to work out what I would want to do next. Can anyone shed some light if they know someone that has received their BWOP and how long it took?

Hi Bona,

I like your strategy - to apply late and gain more time on BOWP. But imagine this, God forbid, what if you get a rejection two weeks from now? You will even loose the chance to apply for BOWP then.

So, delaying application for BOWP is taking a risk. By the way, is there any reason cuz of which your application have chances to get refused - you are just considering the 'worst-case-scenario'?

In either case, I'd apply asap. Plus, there is a strike going on. Who knows how long it will continue and what kind of impact it will have. My suggestion, be on the safe side, apply early for BOWP.

All the best.

is it true the strike will end by tuesday?

I heard the deadline for a deal is Tuesday. If no deal, they up the strikes to impact more areas.

I think you are right about applying now rather then later, especially with the uncertainty of this strike. I believe my application should go through to a MR as I was just thinking of the "worst case scenario" though. I hope this strike is sorted out on Tuesday. I will start the BOWP application tomorrow
Cheers

You are very welcome Bona.

Do check the BOWP threads. Lots of good tips in it and answers to common issues when making online application.

All the best in your application.

Do U think 13 month processing time will be applicable to sept applicants ?

I guess no one knows this....13 month is just an average processing time calculated on yearly data. So, even in absence of a strike, its difficult to assume this benchmark for september.

I thought they update it in every 3 months. I still dont understand HOW PNP is faster as it goes through the same path

PNP is given priority processing - it's an extra 2k and requires employer sponsorship (in ON) so you would want something for your money!
