We received sponsorship approval via email Nov. 5 then got to check my E-cas few hours later and there was *medical result have been received*

They said (some forummates) that if that showed already in your E-cas, your application was already on applicants visa office .. In a matter of few hours my package traveled from Canada to Asia.. Hahaha ;D

This happened to me. They sent me AOR and approval at the same time. As for ecas, it updated the same time also: Decision Made for Sponsorship then Application Received for the PR application.

I put myself on the spreadsheet even though we still didn't get the letter/mail. ;D
My partner called them yesterday and they confirmed that we got the approval October 30th but then the agent asked my partner to confirm the address and it turned out they had some different address in their system......
Why the hell would they have a different address if in the app was given the correct one, in their on-line system I could see a correct one from the very beginning AND this different address has nothing to do with us!?

When I called today they told me that there are two systems and maybe that was some old data (but my partner said he didn't know this address). But the lady also said that what comes first is the updated address, so the only solution I can think of now is: human error.

I wonder when this approval will finally reach us. :-\

If it's just in the AOR, it's probably just a typo. If it's in the actual approval letter, it probably needs to be fixed in CIC's computers. I would email either way to make sure. They misspelled my son's name in the AOR, and they responded within a day when I emailed them.

congrats on your approval!!!! and yes that is normal....some files get sent ti Ottawa when Mississauga gets overwhelmed!!!!

Thanks to you both! The error is in the letter itself, so I will have to get that fixed. Also, good to know regarding Ottawa, although I can't imagine the people who are being processed at Ottawa would be pleased about that! :/

Calling CIC by far better. IF you're the sponsor coz otherwise they won't tell you a thing (you'd have to send them the authorisation first).

Had similar nightmare with addresses in system - notified London VO of new address for me (applicant) so they changed hubby's (sponsors) mailing address to one in the UK!!! He has e-mailed CIC and I have e-mailed London VO so fingers crossed they will sort it out!!
