I am sponsoring my wife who is living in India to come to Canada under the Family Class Sponsorship. I am currently filling out the Schedule A - Background / Declaration (IMM5669E) form and have a few questions.
Question 2 - Your full name written in your native language or script
My wife's native language is Hindi. Does she need to write her name out in Hindi using an ink pen?
Question 8 - Personal history
If she has been unemployed for the past 3 years, would she write 2009 to what date as Unemployed? The date of the application or just leave that blank?
Question 9 - Membership or association with organization
My wife was never a member of any association or organization. The form indicates that you would write "NONE" but in Guide 3999 (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/3999Etoc.asp) the instructions indicate the following: If you were not a member of an association or organization, do not write “not applicable”. Rather, write: “I have never been a member of an organization or association”. But the problem is that there is no space to write this sentence on the form. So what do you guys suggest I do? What did you write?
Question 11 - Military and/or paramilitary service
My wife never undertook any military or paramilitary services. So I know she is supposed to write "NONE" but does she write the Name of country as "India" in both tables or simply write "NONE" for both of them?
Question 12 - Addresses
If my wife only stayed at two addresses in the past 10 years, what does she write in the rest of the blanks? "NONE"? I have read that CIC is very picky about blanks so I am just making sure.
Also, would she be the Principal Applicant or The spouse or common-law partner?
Thank you!!
