Getting fairly livable now i recon

Hi Fariza!

Dear I think these are conflicting news. Some where it says saskatoon is the most romantic city and other places it says it tops in crime. I am confused myself what to beleive.

But mostly I seen negative comments about this city which I beleive are to be true........

It is a bit I agree but as your earlier post on SKT says the crime is getting down. The natural resources still is there to offer it to be a place for going out.... But probably some of our friends living/settled at SKT could answer more authentic on it as the only source we have to judge is from net info.....

but fariza i can't beleive it can be romantic. they said research was based on selling of sex books, cds', and this kinda stuff. you can't base this reason for a city to be romantic. they show the crime is taking place. i am sorry to say but i think prostitution and drug related stuff is actually happening there..........

High crime rate is usually concentrated on areas with population that are mainly Native Americans, no offense to them but that's what I've been reading on the internet and seeing in the news. They have gangs and such i think.

There are a lot of jobs here and they say SK is the next Alberta in terms of economic growth. I've been living here in Regina (city with the 2nd highest crime rate I think) for a month now but it's been nice so far. My husband has been here since 2008 and he has not experienced the high crime rate that the stats are talking about.

It's cold here though, I left the Philippines with a nice 24C temperature and arrived here in SK on February 4 with a -18C temperature, quite a shock but am now getting used to it. Today we got 3C temperature for the first time since we arrived, ice/snow is starting to melt and it's a mess. Tomorrow it's back to -13 again.

Anyway, I think the crime rate that they publish

Yes mate.. I laso find the criteria of sales of sex toys, books dvd etc. to judge a city as romantic a bit funny.

Thanks ruby for adding some real life comments into our literal information based thought..... Still probably personal experience and own level of judgment influenced by many factors.... we look forward to listen more from you and else living in SK....

Pitta and Sapna
I can see your concern and the reason not considering SK as romantic we thought.... Lets wait for more input of real life exp from our friends living out there... But up to the point.... probably it seems not a very good choice for finding love :)
