Hello,

CIC asked me to pay the 490$ RPRF fee for my SINP (paper based application) and some other basic documentation which I did 4 days back on April 13. Today i.e. April 17th, I see a refund of 490$ on my credit card. I did not receive any update/communication from CIC. what does this mean?

I have a EE application in process at the same time. I paid the RPRF fees and everything on my EE application upfront. I have 2 pr applications in Process. EE and SINP (Provincial nominee).

I will greatly appreciate your answers!

Thanks
Ravi

1) They asked my to fill some missing gaps in my address history and personal history (a duration of 2 months).
2) Proof of my separation with my wife: I gave them the court papers which I filed in my home country for separation
3) Police Clearance.

That's all the documentation they requested.

WHY ON EARTH WOULD U PAY RPRF FEE TWICE FOR 2 DIFF IMMIGRATING STREAM?

I THINK UR EXPRESS ENTRY APPLICATION IS APPROVED AND HENCE THEY RETURNED UR PNP RPFR FEES BACK.

Thank you for your reply!

Initially I payed my RPRF fee only for EE, but CIC asked me to pay for SINP and So I did. I had to apply for two different streams of PR (not by choice). Initially I was a graduate here with no job experience. So my only option was provincial nomination (employment restrictions and geographical restrictions). Then came the changes for Canadian graduated students, received an ITA through EE. I applied for the EE stream.

Both of my applications are not approved yet. They are still showing under process and final decision has not been made.

BG check on my SINP shows not applicable
BG check on my EE shows under progress.

It seems highly unlikely that CIC will process a refund before they communicate with the applicant :o

Any other thoughts?

You should cancel one of the applications (likely the SINP one)

Out of topic, just curious on how you were able to apply under CEC without job experience?

I actually had the same thought.. Without any work experience, it is impossible to be eligible under CEC or FSW.

I gained 1 year of skilled experience in the mean time. I applied for SINP when I was like 8 months into my job. I waited 4 months further to gain 1 year of experience and then applied under EE.
