Hello,

CIC asked me to pay the 490$ RPRF fee for my SINP (paper based application) and some other basic documentation which I did 4 days back on April 13. Today i.e. April 17th, I see a refund of 490$ on my credit card. I did not receive any update/communication from CIC. what does this mean?

I have a EE application in process at the same time. I paid the RPRF fees and everything on my EE application upfront. I have 2 pr applications in Process. EE and SINP (Provincial nominee).

I will greatly appreciate your answers!

Thanks
Ravi

1. Only 1 RPRF is required, so whichever application is approved, they will use the RPRF for that application.

So does this mean that if RPRF is requested, the application has passed the eligibility (reference letter checks etc.) stage and awaiting the criminality/security phase ?

Thank-you for your reply:)

Both of my applications are not approved yet. They are still showing under process and final decision has not been made.

BG check on my SINP shows not applicable
BG check on my EE shows under progress.

So does this mean one of my application (either SINP or EE) has been approved?

It seems highly unlikely that CIC will process a refund before they communicate with the applicant :o

You should probably contact IRCC either by calling the help line or sending a client inquiry, and tell them you want to withdraw one of the applications. Having two applications undergo some form of processing at the same time will only delay your PR approval. If you don't contact them, they will contact you at some point and ask which of the two applications you'd like them to proceed with. Good luck!
