Romanian Timeline - In Process

God bless you....great words...yes i am keeping my hopes and nothing in this world will keep me away from my husband....i will find a way...i send an email to my lawyer and i will also speak with him on monday and i still hope to find a way to make them understand that this request is useless due to the fact that he did not live in this country's for 6 months and in the case that is nothing we can do in this direction we will start preparing everything for FBI and contact greece embassy hoping that in this case latest next monday the papers to be send to usa. And then wait and hope for the best ....miracle that will come faster. Any way in this moment i have to get used with the idea that i will not see my husband so soon as i was hoping......maybe at the end of the year....
Thank you for your support ..it was a long night and a crappy day....but tomorrow is a new day.

Well, as i was thinking and the lawyer confirm, there is nothing we can do at this time but to give them what they want...even he said that this has no legal base and is an abuse ....so we collect the documents needed for FBI and we send them ...according to the tracking number they will arrive to US on monday and then we must wait....they said is taking between 6-8 weeks until you get the answer...if you are lucky....can take up to 3-4 months also. Also they ask for Cazier from Greeks (we were in Greece last year for 4 months!!!!!!) unbelievable.....so my husband was at the Greek Embassy in Bucharest on friday and made an application....we will receive an answer middle of next week. My lawyer will receive both of them and then he will send them to the Canadian Embassy. Monday my husband will send all the papers needed to get one more time visitor visa from Canadians .....i want to bring him back here for some time because it lucks like his process may take until october -november. Hope he will get it. He already had one from Bucharest embassy so should not be a problem.....but because he is under processing you never know how they are thinking.....so now we hope to have a good answer in 2 weeks time (hopefully faster one week -10 days) and as soon he has the visa will fly here....hope to have him back 01- 05 august. If everything goes well and he comes here then they can process how much they want....don,t care anymore....only and only when they are done with his file he will go back to romania only to give them the passport. Not before that anymore. So in this past week i was like crazy make papers, applications, fees, invitation,etc. for 3 parts....dar gandul ca as putea sa-l am inapoi in august keep me going.

You had a quite busy week, I know how it is, all this paperwork is devastatoare :-\, but you are done with it and now you just have to wait.
And having your hubby with you there in Canada will be awsome, he will get his visa I am sure, if he got it once the second time its easyer, let's hope so!

I am sure CIC has nothing personal with our files, I know all this process takes to long but maybe they have also rules to follow, maybe to many nowadays, new rules :, and ofcourse that causes long delays; it's driving us crazy all this delays but we have to go on for our own happiness.

Its the only thing what keeps me going as well, my husbund, who is a wonderfull men.

Hello all. My name is Mat and this is my first post on this forum. My wife Alina is from Constanta and she too just got the email saying that we need to provide an FBI criminal check. We too are devastated as we figured we would be almost done this process by now (application was received in Mississauga, Ontario on January 3rd).

From what I have read, it seems like all we can do is get the FBI criminal check done? It really is a let down that it will take so long to get a reply. Will the FBI send the fingerprints right back to Romania? Or do I need to provide a Canadian address for the results?

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hello all. My name is Mat and this is my first post on this forum. My wife Alina is from Constanta and she too just got the email saying that we need to provide an FBI criminal check. Hi Mat,
Yes is true ...nothing you can do ....you must give them the FBI certificate. On the official site of FBI you can find the form that you need to fill up (is easy) and as well the fingerprint form, credit card form for the fee (is 18 $ the fee) and the address where to send it. With the fingerprint form Alina must go to the local police office in Constanta is free and is taking a few minutes to make it. Also if you want you can also put in the envelop a letter explaining why you need it, when she was in USA and what was her status in the country like this to help them in making a fast decision. Send them by FedEx and they will arrive in 2 days. You will receive a answer at the address you provide on the form in about 4-6-8 weeks. Ones your credit card will be charged they say that in about one week they are sending the paper. After this you send them to the Canadian Embassy.
The fingerprints will stay with FBI will not be returned.
If Alina is in Constanta the best way will be to put the returning address for the results on Constanta and then from there she can send them to the embassy.
I know how you feel ...us also were hoping that the process is at the end and then we got this request....is killing you inside the waiting....but no worry's do it and that's it is just a matter of time (the hardest part!!!).

Thanks very much for the quick reply and the advice regarding the cover letter. I am sure you know, it feels good to know that there are others out there going through the same process and turmoil. We are going to get her fingerprints done on Wednesday and we will DHL them to the FBI on Thursday.

We are currently in Constanta but we will be living in Kingston, Ontario eventually. Luckily for me, I work on cruise ships representing a jewelery company, so I can come back to Romania every few weeks to see Alina.

That really is amazing! Alina and I now are working for EFFY as brand specialists and we conduct on board trunk shows, but we were Shopping Specialists on CCL for a couple years. Hi Mat,

The only way to know that they receive your papers is to check your tracking number. No other way to contact them unfortunately.
At FBI somebody will sign for the receiving of your envelop and the name of that person will be visible on the info of the tracking number. As well put in your envelop a paid returning envelop ( if you want). From my knowledge DHL does not make the returning service anymore (that is what DHL brasov told us) that is why we send it with FedEx. It cost us 960lei for this two envelops.....a little bit much for a delivery. But returning envelop was the most expensive one and is not mandatory. We did it hoping to make it faster for them to send it back.
