Romanian Timeline - In Process

Hi guys,

Quick question - My wife also received the request for information as to where she has resided over the last 6 months. We sent the email back instantly, and have heard absolutely nothing back since. It has been about a month. Shouldn't the embassy have responded? I have also emailed twice asking for a confirmation of receipt, and have received no response. I am so fed up with this whole process it is driving me crazy. Did you guys receive a response from the Embassy and how long later did it come? What type of timeline are we looking at now, in your opinion? Thanks in advance.

The same situation here. We are waiting maybe 24-25 days and still nothing. I also sent an e-mail to ask if they have a confirmation for the extension but I have not an answer. It so frustrating because you don't know if they will extend the medicals or you have to redo it. The second possibility is very hard because you'll have to wait a month and more. But as I know, the timeline for the extension is 2-3 weeks. Please, if you have some news about the extension let me know and from my side, I promise to tell you also

I read your postes here I know how you must feel, its always more difficut at the end of it.

I was in the same situation; when the VO office asking London an medical extension in your name that it means the immigration process its over, they need only the confirmation for a new medical extension (without a valid medical test they cannot issued your visa) that sometimes comes or not, like was in my case; after more than 3 weeks of waiting for the new medical extension I was asking to redo an new chest x ray, and after more than 5 weeks after I did it VO send me by email the passport request letter.

It says, we started processing your application on December 14, 2012.

I have good news too, my husband is now employed so the paper about the finical side is on it's way.Waiting on it to be done around next week.This is the best Christmas present.It's been two months now since we last seen each other, but we'll make it.Wish you a lot of luck in 2013 sending hope and support to everyone who needs it.Wish a wonderful time and only good things is the new year.

I am afride I know no one who got the extension....oh maybe Dana, she has many posts in here, look carefull on every post posted from Dana....I think her husband got the extension right away without redo any medical exam.

Christmas its great in Quebec, , aside of winter storms.... ???...but I slowlly get use to that . I have a great family here who received me with open arms and I am really feeling home .

We finally received confirmation that Alina has to redo a chest xray. She is going to go back to Bucharest within the next few days to complete this, and then we will be back to waiting. Oh well, what else can be done? Anyways, a happy and healthy new year to you all. I will keep you posted with further info.

Congrats to the ones with good news!
I just wanted to up date our situation. Still no news from Bucharest VO. 2 weeks ago I sent them an e-mail with some additional information about changes of my job and I kindly asked if is possible to get confirmation if they have received our file and when. No answer yet and I`m not sure that I`ll get. We will try to find more information by ordering our GCMS.
I have read that paying earlier our RPRF will save us sometime at the end of the process. Does any one know how we can do it? I found this:

`Current applications: If you are paying additional fees for an application currently being processed by the Embassy in Bucharest, the original payment receipt (certified cheque, bank draft or proof of payment by cash deposit) must be attached to the letter from our office requesting the payment.`

We still don`t have a letter so how can we pay earlier?
