Any news? You are getting closer!

I have a question to throw out to the Bucharest VO users. Did you receive an AOR from Bucharest, or did they just contact you when they needed something (AKA I may not hear anything for months).

On another note, I am going back to Romania for Christmas to visit my partner, and I am wondering if I should be bringing anything with me there (extra proof, etc) if they ask for it?

No no news so far, I am impatiently waiting for their call, they said 15 working days (3 more weeks :-\) but I hope will be less than 3 weeks. I droped my passport by myself at the Embassy so I have to go and pick it up in person.(I have a flight to Montreal on 26 October...I just hope I will not have to postpone it...)

Never got an AOR from my VO, and never got a news from them only when I requested an update from them. The good part is they asking of your emails quite fast, after a few days, if you make a request by email. Maybe for you will be different, every casse is different in general.

As for bringing some new evidence why not, it will not hurt for your partner have it there if they asking for it. You could be ok with what you just sent, who knows.

Christmas in Romania will be great for you!! Yay! Good food, good music, good company... ;D ;D

Not DM though, but they added my home adress which is Quebec, Canada, now!

I have everything packed for good since 8 months ago. I have one bag with me here and I have one in Paris at my sister place with a few things I love the most and I haven't sold them in Paris, everything I had in my home there I already selled or gave away. My summer clothes and most of my things are already there, my husband brought with him back each time when was visiting me.

Now this waiting to get back my passport its difficult, but I would say its not as difficult as it was the waitng for my medical extension...

Now you are next, its been already a month since your file is in Bucharest, but you should not have such a long waiting as I did.

You could write to VO an email after Christmas if you don't have news, they answer you quite fast.

At least you know your passport is coming! I just read someones interview horror story, so terrifying! I would love to get through this without an interview, and as quickly as possible. I guess we will see.

Yes indeed horrible story about that interview, I was reading as well, it seems the guy didn't have a chance at all in front of this officer lady there. The officer didn't accepted his new proofs of realtionship. That was very wierd in my opinion. I've got through such an experience and I could say that immigration officers are not friendly at all, I was turned up side down as well but I was very confident. He didn't speak at all english or french and that was such a big disavandage.

I hope your partner will not have to get trough an interview, that brings delays and a lot of stress.

Our VO is not in hurry at all like we are... :-\ so I didn't get the call from them yet.
Apparantly I would have to pick up my passport after their time line, 15 work days, which its going to be on 31th October.

My flight was postponed... :-\.

Well a few more days its nothing compered whith the long wait I had so far, but I really was expected that just for one time they will be faster than they used to be.

No problem to change my ticket, I got an open ticket considering misterious CIC ways... :

My 15 days mark is on 31 November so I will be there to pick up my passport on 31th..

Hope you get an short processing time...its really very stressful a long process like I did.

15 month and a week...that was a long journey for me.

Hello everybody!

I did the landing on 2 November, everything went very well, the only problem was the waiting, there was so many people waiting in Montreal before me at the immigration office.

But I did it and finaly and now I am finaly home ;D ;D.

Thank you everyone for their support and wish you all of you guys who is waiting for their visa, have patience in all this process it really worth it!
