Romanian Timeline - In Process

He is definitely still working in Romania, and passing the time. Seeing his friends and family. I am hoping he is here by May 2012...but I guess we will see

Are you not working in Romania? It's hard to work for the money that is paid there.

Yes true, and in Maramures the work its even less paied.

But the reason I was not working is becasue I was always in stand by, could not get a a job becouse I was traveling most of the time, waiting for my visa in the mean time and like this the time passed by.

I had good time with my family here, my friends, my husband visited me 3 times this year so I cannot say this year was to difficult, only I feel now its time to move on, I miss have my own place aside of my husband, a job, a house to take care of (here my mom dose everything she dosen't let me do anynthing... )

Any way this will pass I am at the very end, just waiting for the medical assessment and then I will have the green light from my VO.

I wish you a very short processing time for your husband, I think he is going to have visa sooner than May.

I love the food when I am over there I don't know how to cook any of it myself yet. lol. I'm always amazed at how flavourful it is.

To cook romanian its very easy only it takes a lot of time. I love doing this its my passion

I can give you tips any time if you need. In which part of Canada you are living?? Perhaps we could arange a cooking meeting one day... ;

For sure you learn lol, you have plenty of time doing it.

Funny funny situation....as i was saying they ask us to pay the right of permanent residence fee on 5 sept and we payed it on line same day. They told us to wait for the confirmation that the payment was done from Mississauga that takes 4 to 6 weeks...so far nothing (Mississauga must update the system and after that Bucharest will request the passport)...but guess what ....my husband medical expires in 6 oct 2012 ...this week.... so i send them an email regarding this and they replay that they already send a request for extension to London medical office and that they are waiting for an answer this week 01 oct -07 oct. Really .....i am speechless....can believe what is happening...how can it take so long to update a payment on line??????????????????and we call the Call Centre and they told us: yes we can see the money enter but is nothing you can do but wait for the system update" i don,t know what to say anymore....they are really playing with our mind, life, patience....Take care of you and i hope you have better news then me.

Hi Dana,

Sorry to hear that the processing file for your husband it's not done; all these delays are incredible long, believe me I know what you feel. I am waiting the same thing, the validity of my medical, VO said that could take more than 30 days; now I am into 5th week of waiting since my new chest x-ray was send to London and still waiting for the validity ....I could have news this week, but who realy knows.

I have no patience left believe me, but I cannot do much.

Good luck and I hope we will recieve asap the passport request!

I know its going to be soon, any day now, for me as for you as well.

It took 46 days from the moment I did my chest x-ray.

I am really very happy to have this news, at last!!

I just droped my passport in person to VO, and they told me I have to wait 15 WORK days to recuparete it...

Do you think that will take another 3 weeks to get my passpart back??

I can't believe that it's possible to take s looong.... :-\

What do you think guys??

When i send my passport for visa they told me the same between 14 to 21 days but i received back in 9 days. But really it does not matter anymore IS ONLY A FEW MORE DAYS and you will be in Canada .....pregatind o masa superba de Craciun....think like this.

But I think its never the case, they send you the passport very soon.

Any news? You are getting closer!

I have a question to throw out to the Bucharest VO users. Did you receive an AOR from Bucharest, or did they just contact you when they needed something (AKA I may not hear anything for months).

On another note, I am going back to Romania for Christmas to visit my partner, and I am wondering if I should be bringing anything with me there (extra proof, etc) if they ask for it?
