Were all of the forms the latest versions?

Did you miss any required signatures?

I'm sketchy about the fees paid because it didn't reflect anything about family sponsorship rather just the generic. We paid $550?My wife returned to Canada last October and thus were only able to show proof of income from such but we made sure to include an employee letter detailing wages along with tax assessment and available paystubs and such so not sure if that was an issue in terms of approval of sponsorship. I sent her packet and mine all updated versions as well as further proof of our relationship together. I hope that's correct.

Short of that yes I'll have to breathe into a paper bag until I can reach them in the morning to figure out what's up. Btw, I check the envelope 3 times to make sure it wasn't stuck ::)

$550 is correct for the sponsor and applicant applications. You will still have to pay $490 Right To Permanent Resident fee later.

I'm stumped if the forms are updated, the fee was paid, and there's nothing else missing..

Oh and btw I find it amusing everybody seems to read Bule as Blue lol.

@ImABule ...I didn't even notice that. Sorry! Geez I really should double check my application now! :p

@Regina I'm at a loss. I'm sure I goofed it up some how but you'd think they'd include a letter instead of possibly sending me to the ER for a stroke

If you are sure, you only paid $550, for sure it's one of the reasons they returned your application( there might be other reasons though!!!)
I don't understand why they didn't send a letter but you still have to pay $490.
Sponsorship application : $75
Principal Applicant : $475
Rights of permanent residence fee: $490

No you can pay the right of permanent residence fee when you get your DM. you dont have to pay it with the initial application. We didn't pay till we got our landing interview letter

Just a personal opinion but if I'm just missing one of the payments, that's a bit much to return the entire packet eh? There's gotta be something that I goofed up on like a signature or something. I don't remember being this stressed out when I did my wife's PR for the states

I know, we were trying to figure out what might have been the reason to send back his application, that why I said there might be other reasons....

-Go through each form, check the version compared to the current version on the CIC site.
-Check each form for any missing signatures.

If it makes you feel better, you could post a list of what you sent (not every single piece of proof you sent, but a list of the forms and documents). One of the members here might spot something missing.

No.

Incorrect fees will always result in returned applications.

While you do have to still pay $490, this fee can be deferred until CIC requests it. Although I don't recommend it as it could cause delays in processing.

It will be requested much before DM if you're applying outland.

If I'm not mistaken, there was a May2016 (or April) applicant who posted here that her entire application was returned to her. There was a letter attached that says that she used the wrong form, instead of inland, she used outland...BUT she was applying outland. So it was a mistake by CIC! She called them, was informed to send it back and attached an explanation (that it is an Outland application with Outland forms).

My advice: (1) call CIC to figure out what's wrong (2) check the version of the form (3) have it ready to sent back to CIC.

Totally on it. Gonna be a late night in front of the computer and mountain of paperwork. Thanks for the advice
