U do have a Canadian degree from a french or english university right?
That's enough for a proof of language.
I came here as a student in 2004. Graduated from a Canadian univ. and my application is well through the process. Same for all my friends in the same situation as mine.
What's your local office? did they just return the application or the process went thru and at the end was rejected? Do you mind giving more details?

Well I was in a Private College in Ontario and my local Office is Etobicoke / Toronto.

So i didnt submit any of my education papers as i stopped studying for the timeframe they were inquiring and just submitted the ielts certificate and other documents.

they rejected the application stating two reasons,

1. The language proof provided is not valid.
2. The school records are not provided.

What do you mean by "i didnt submit any of my education papers as i stopped studying for the timeframe they were inquiring".

I don't believe the application asks for a time frame to submit language proof documents. If I was you I would have submitted the latest transcript.

when did you apply and did you have a chance to present your case before a judge? give us your timeline.

I think the easiest and cheapest way is to make the CElPIP LS ( listening and speaking only) it will cost you 150 CAD , you have to provide a transcript for the period you was studying even though you didn't graduate (its document required as per the check list in the application , don't forget that this transcript will not be counted toward the english requirement as you should be graduate.

You applied too early. Wait until you have been in Canada for 1095 days, out of which minimum of 2 years as a permanent resident.

Agreed. There's zero chance you qualify for citizenship right now.

I believe the original poster used his NPR/non-permanent residence days as well.

Still zero chance the original poster qualifies. You need three years of residency to qualify for citizenship - and two of those years MUST be attained AFTER you become a PR. Consequently it's impossible that the OP qualifies if he/she obtain PR in 2012.

You are right. I missed the fact the OP had less than 2 years PR.

I wonder what was in applicant's residence calculator or residence calculation form printout.

Or 2012 was a typo in the original post?

I was thinking the same...if you became a PR in 2012, then you do not even qualify for citizenship. You do not qualify until 2014.... was 2012 a typo or what? Look into it, whether it was rejected due to residence or language.

Refer to the link mentioned below.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/language-flowchart.asp

I am not sure whether this criteria of expired language eligibility test is valid for immigrant who applied under Federal Skilled Category worker only or not. Submit your transcripts and other supporting documents if you have attained education from a Canadian university.
