Sorry Bait2014 for the late reply. I asked about the venue and the cic agent mentioned that the ceremony will be in the Marriott hotel. I believe where I had my test.

Oath Timeline after test at Montreal Office

Hi Montrealers, I got an update. I called yesterday and the agent was like: "Congratulations, your application has been approved on July 11 and you've been granted the citizenship. You'll have to wait for an update from CIC for the oath date". I am on cloud 9 people! So happy. I am hoping to...

Oath Timeline after test at Montreal Office

Nothing from my side. I had my test on the 27th of May. I moved provinces. So I am on the look for my ceremony to book my ticket. I ordered my GCMS notes and nothing. I don't mind waiting a bit. But what bothers me is that the notes are usually sent after 1 month and they reflect the notes on...

Oath Timeline after test at Montreal Office

haha. The best way to know is to be there. If you have this suspicion you should really attend all the oath ceremonies and report back. The addresses are all on there. Because in my opinion this statement is just so ludicrous. 8)

SENIORS PLS Help URGENT: Citizenship Test letter but I am moving!!!

What I have learned from this forum is that delaying an oath event is not recommended. However, a May'13 applicant had asked to move the oath date because of his expensive non-refundable vacation and the CIC office cooperated. There is a risk for sure. I myself am going to move from Montreal. I...

Citizenship Test and Oath in different cities?

I wrote the test in Montreal and will be moving to Calgary. I will not call the CIC or change the address since I will still have an address in Montreal. Also I will be spending the extra money to go attend the oath if I don't get the oath this month.

SENIORS PLS Help URGENT: Citizenship Test letter but I am moving!!!

Is the move urgent? I would postpone my move 5 days. It's better than being delayed. Plus you don't want any suspicion to avoid a RQ. You can ask your employer if you could move your start date to a different day. It's not the end of the world. And I don't see this being an urgent situation or a...
