Hegarty... the logical reason is ... once they announced regular CEC FSW were closing and Express Entry would start from Jan 1 2015 ...
thousand of people applied for CEC and most of them mustve had their work permit expiring within the first 4 months of 2015. hence the backlog and delay

For those who applied for BOWP and OWP for their spouses, what kind of work permit the spouse is getting? I mean, what's the code it's written on the permit. I know BOWP is 27, is spouse's OWP the same?

Please advise!

I dont see why that matters .. its not going to effect anything. her work permit will be an Open permit

I saw other posts that RAMQ (Quebec) won't renew health insurance card based on BOWP. If it is a general open work permit, then it should be not a problem. That's what i want to know. In case I cannot renew mine, I would want my spouse to be covered by it.

I was on bowp last year and me and my spouse both of us renewed our OHIP in ontario.

Hey mkocisz and All,

Did you apply for your BOWP for yourself and visitor permit for your wife or just BOWP for both?
Let me know.
I have applied for BOWP for myself and visitor permit for your wife on Feb 27th. Hopefully, we both will get our permits without any issue.

Thanks in advance
I applied for WP for bth of us (I had WP before she had vistor visa). and now we both have open work permit.
also I got AOR 3days after we apply for BOWP.

i applied for PR last april and my current BOWP expires July 02 2015 - when/how do i re-apply thanks

Hi,

I did applied for BOWP for me and my spouse on 6th of March and had the same issue...I was able to pay $255 for my self and $155 for my spouse and there was no choice to pay extra $100.

However, I spoke to CIC call centre and they advised me that I can't do anything at this point and if there is anything I will be requested by Visa office.

So I guess there is nothing much we could do at this point rather than waiting

Cheers

What will be the solution for this OMNI. Will they issue OWP for spouse as it was not our mistake or we have to apply for it again ? or will they be any option for us to pay the remaining amount online?
