I think what you can do, if your employer is not giving a letter is...Attach your hiring/offer letter for job, alongwith the latest pay stubs of past 3 months, and a letter from the HR mentioning that you are currently hired in the job position for which an older offer letter is attached. This way your HR's letter will validate your offer letter which should have a description of your duties. Hope this helps..good luck

Thanks PK84.

My offer letter doesn't have the duties but I have a letter which was submitted for my work permit and it has the duties along with the NOC code.

I will include all possible documents (offer letter, increment letter, employment letter, letter for work permit, paystubs etc in the order it was issued) but since it is not the perfect way of submitting it, I need to keep my fingers crossed for the decision.

I will also get a notarized letter from my colleague for my duties.

Yes, if you have a copy of your petition for work permit, probably the application which might be submitted to labor departments..that would be super awesome..because HR or your manager would have made a declaration of your job duties in your work permit application...good luck

Query on Background Check...

I wanted to inquire during background check, does CIC contact current and past employers...reason I ask is I just don't want CIC verifying with my current employer, that I am working in the position of NOC..and my employer thinking I am planning to leave.

Thanks..any insights would be helpful.

If they are suspicious of the letter or if they want further clarification, they will definitely contact them

If you submitted it in LOE section, it is absolutely fine. actually it is not mandatory but we do it to be in safer position.

Would it be fine to provide that with LOE .?
I have mentioned in my LOE that I had no slot for CELPIP in my checklist so I am including that with this letter below.

Hi All,

I have got 2 years of experience backhome . I have submitted the documents when applying for student visa as well.. I worked there in 2010 and 11, but the company is shut down now.. would that be a problem for my immigration now???.. I have the paystubs and relieving letter and other documents ( that I have submitted 5 years ago to cic ) ..

Do I need to put LOE for that ?? Please advise.

Thanks

you can write that you tried to avail a recently dated letter but found out that the company is now out of business.. but it's an overkill somewhat

Hi

Once application is accepted, will be there an interview? if yes, do we have to provide originals of work certificates? I unfortunately don't have the original of one work certificate ...

thx

I did not get it.. What does that mean?? Is it mandatory to get recently dated letter for 5 years before experience ??..
Do I have write LOE even before asking or can I explain them if they ask about it ??

Hi Mike

I've seen this query before elsewhere, where the advice was to go ahead and do as you suggest here and it being the most appropriate course of action in this situation but I will defer to the seniors to confirm/clarify.

Happy new year dear members!

I am humbly seeking your expert guidance with the following:

Background:
In my EE work experience section, i entered the only 3 jobs I have ever had - one for 5 years (5231), one for 4 years (NOC 1111) and my current job for 1 year (NOC 1111). I specified my primary occupation to be NOC 1111.

What i want to do:
I got my ITA on december 22, 2016. I only want my APR to be based on my former job for 4 (NOC 1111). Hence, in filling out my PR form, i want to only mention the said job in my work experience, while putting the other two in my personal history (so i will only need to get a full reference for my job for 4 years). Also, i want to change my current job (1 year exp) from NOC 1111 to NOC 0111.

Question:
Would the above action be ok to do? or would my APR be rejected or classified as a misrepresentation? also should i upload any supporting information for two jobs in my personal history?

Thanks much!
Mike

Hi Asivad and others, who have been in the forum from beginning, Could you pl list down the summery of reasons for rejection, identified so far ? If possible it would be best to categorized them under FSW and CEC.

TIA

- missing PCC
- not declaring refused visas (misrepresentation)
- not declaring spouse or family (misrepresentation)
- reference letters not sufficient
- incorrect noc code
- medical inadmissibility (chance to appeal)
- generally missing docs

"Failing to upload original diploma (translated if in other language rather than English/French) is the biggest reason applications are being rejected after eAPR submission. Rejections in this issue are being reported from several officers of different VO. CIC is just very strict about this matter. "
Go back through the posts and make a list to add to this. There is a lot of valuable information worth reading in this thread. The time you spend will help you navigate the process more confidently.

+1. This is very true. I also read a case a few months back in which the applicant claimed that his application was rejected because ECA was not uploaded. This might be an arbitrary rejection but it is not worth the risk. This is the reason why I strongly recommend that people upload their degree/diploma, ECA and IELTS in the Education section PDF.
