Hi DelPierro,

Is there any possibility to extend the limit for PCC as it's taken forever to get it from UAE embassy?

If you do not receive your PCC before your ITA expires you can upload a letter as well as proof that you requested the PCC so that the officer allows you to submit it later on.

Otherwise depending on your score you can decline the ITA and wait for another draw.

My apologies Janaki, I hadn't seen this update yet. Its hard to say this with certainly since this is really new.

But to the best of my understanding, seeing how CIC has worked over the years, no it shouldn't be an issue. The case analyst / officer looking at your file will mainly look for one year duration min - mentioned in the letter.

Besides no matter what any one says, even every permanent job is also subject to satisfactory performance (barring very few which we can safely ignore here).

I doubt that it would be an issue. But still this is just an opinion.

Thanks fkl

Only of the certificate states the average balance over the last 6 months. Otherwise you need statements.

Guys,

Today I received a request for schedule A. It says: Schedule A: A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form
(IMM 5669) bearing an original signature Do not leave any gaps in time. If you answer "Yes" to
any of the questions in Item 6 on Page 1, you must provide details.

Is this normal, and in which cases do they request sch A? I have been rejected for student visa earlier this year, is this the reason?

My timeline:

1. ITA - 2nd November
2. App submitted and AOR - 7th December
3. Medicals passed - 9th December
4. Schedule A request - 14th December

Thanks,
Martin

Yes, it is common to receive a Schedule A request when one answers "yes" to the statutory questions.

You're filling it out because you probably answered yes to having a student visa rejected when you submitted your application. Complete it all in full and explain fully why it was rejected. As long as it was rejected for normal reasons (not criminal activity etc), it won't be a problem.

What are statutory questions? Sorry if that's a stupid question.

During your submission there would have been some standard questions
...
1- Are you a criminal?
2 - have you ever had a visa rejected
3 - Are you a member of the killer clowns group ;) etc.

If you answer yes to any of these you are usually send a Sched A.

Yikes.

Thanks to answers. Maybe a stupid question but I have to ask: In the form for sch A there is a section for how many years of school you have successfully completed for each of the following levels of education:

Elementary/primary school
Secondary/high school
University/college
Trade school or other post secondary school,

my question is next: I have a Master's degree should I put it under University or Other post secondary school?

What kind of building did you get your masters in? If it was a University...
