I dont know why you are making your life complicated, and why havent you just married and get it over with?

It might count as misrepresentation, so if I were you, I would say I was in a relationship and then say you got engaged after the last time you declared anything officialy, so at any time after your application for a student visa. this way, you are showing ties, but you are not stepping into your own mouth ( so to speak )

Hi Yelena
Thank for your response. My fiance is in Canada since May 2015 and I applied the student visa in October 2015. If I declare the engagement after October 2015, she needs to be physically present here in Pakistan, which is unfortunately not the case.

I have drafted the settlement plan as below, just please have a look at the relevant extract of my settlement plan which I wish to submit. Kindly let me know if this would still count as a misrepresentation:

SETTLEMENT PLAN EXTRACT

"In March 2015, we decided that my fiancé should go back to Canada in order to complete final year of her graduation in Administrative Studies from the York University. We were of the view that her Canadian degree would help her in finding a suitable job and this in turn would help us financially in the near future, when we land there permanently as a married couple. Hence, she went back to Canada on May 17, 2015 for our better future. Meanwhile, I also tried to upgrade myself by obtaining some local Canadian education, so I applied for a student visa on October 8th, 2015 for a post graduate certificate program in Global Business Management at the Humber College, but unfortunately it was turned down. Anyways, believing in the notion that whatever happens, happens for the best, I kept my spirits high and God presented with this great opportunity soon after.

My fiancé is coming back on February 12, 2015 (ticket attached) and we are planning to get married on April 2016. We plan to live along with my father in law initially until we (me and my fiancé who would be my wife by then) find our own suitable accommodation nearby."

Guys
My wife does not have ielts or ECA..
I am the main applicant and I have both..
Does this affect the EE application?
Thanks
IELTS and ECA for spouse is optional but having them will get you more CRS points.

I am on track because I have the points I need to get ITA
So that would not be a reason for rejection. Right?

OK- just a point; why would she need to be physical present in order for you to get engaged?
if you were in a relationship before, engagement is only your mutual commitment to eachoder that could have happened over the phone

I don't think you can generalize "engagement". Engagement is done differently in different cultures. In India, it is impossible (for many sects) for 2 people to be engaged without being physically present. Both the families meet and the couple gets engaged in the presence of a priest. (At least Hindus do it like this). It might be similar in Pakistan too.

They could have been in a relationship before but the ceremonial "engagement" might require physical presence.

ok. this is why I asked if there is a reason they have to be present physically.

In that case, it might be better to say he is in a relationship, that to state he is engaged, and has been angeged before but did not declare it.
If they decide to look at previous applications they will see this, and in my opinion anything is better than to be cought in a lie.

Yes, we had a proper engagement ceremony at the hotel with both our relatives invited, I have over 100 pictures of that event with me and my fiancée sitting together along with our parents, I can provide all these pictures as an evidence. In my opinion govt. of Ontario will be satisfied that I have sufficient ties and that I plan to live in Ontario. The only issue is that of misrepresentation. confused :( :(

Hello members...this is my first post due to one thing that is on my mind...I need advice. I have submitted my firs app end of June. This would be kinda my timeline
1st ITA recived June 2015 under FSW Inland. Program placed me under FSW cause I have put certain $$$$ amount and I said that I do have High School but I didnt send my diploma to WES for assessment. I have declined my ITA at that point. Advice that CIC officer gave me on on the phone wast to decline ITA, change info about my education and founds. I have all req for CEC so I did what he told me. I have received new ITA right after. I have submitted all of my documents. They didnt ask for Diploma in my doc checklist. Two months after they have requested Diploma and I was confused why... Program didnt put me in CEC, I stayed in FEW group and my app was canceled end of September cause I dont have WES...
Then I created new profile, again with no education and funds. ITA received week after, profile submitted October 2015, AOR October 6, CEC INLAND, medical passed two weeks after, BG In progress the same day as medical passed. November 24 BG went to NOT NEEDED AT THIS TIME.

Finally my q is do you think I can have problems cause first I said I do have High school and $$ and later I declined all. I am afraid that they will think I lied.....
Should I be worried or?????? It has been almost three months since my AOR... I have no req for any add document or anything... ::) ::) ::)

My application got cancelled due to missing PCC. i obviously uploaded it. i have screen shots as well. i dont know why but they just cant see it. Called CIC agent, they say the same thing- Cant see. I put PCC via CSE (case specific inquiry). Can any one suggest me what might happen. Is there a chance that the application will be re-opened
I hope you did attach :
LOE explaining your case
Screen Shots of everything

There is a good chance if it was due to technical problems at CIC end. Give them a call again.

I did the same - Changed $$s and did not claim points for two jobs in my second application. As long as you mentioned it correctly in your personal history you are good. n I got PPR last week.
