The most terrifying is that it looks like they are trying to cover their own mistakes.. Im hiring a lawyer right now cause Im pretty sure some of their employees are doing whatever they want and I cant stand that, they cant play with life plans. Medical is the same for everybody there is no specific tests for temp or permanent residence.

Hello all,

I wish I had read some of this thread before submitting my information.

My application was cancelled today, after being submitted yesterday, due to not supplying my ECA report. They don't even ask for the report and they request the ECA document number during the profile submission process.

Have anybody had any luck requesting that CIC re-instate the application. I have sent them a CSA requesting this but I notice that the response time is 30 days. I feel so deflated, I thought I was nearly there but realise how far away I am now.

I'm sorry this happened to you, but I like your approach. Get 'em!

Your idea is indeed a good one and one that had crossed my mind multiple times. However,do think of the financial aspects of hiring a lawyer if you are planning to sue.
All the best.

Wow are you serious?? So sorry. Are you sure it was because of that? Did you upload a copy of the certificate you assessed?

Good idea! But i would advise you to thread carefully. They are CIC and might deal with you some other way.

Are you sure it was the ECA report itself that was missing? Did you upload your diploma? Did the directions tell you to combine them into a single pdf and upload them together - which is what most people do?

Yes, send a CSE asking them to re-open. At the same time, make a new profile in hopes of getting a repeat invitation in the next draw. Some people have had their cases re-opened, but most have not. If they re-open your case, you simply withdraw the new profile.

We have all learned the hard way that getting an ITA and submitting an application is just the BEGINNING of the journey - it isn't close to the end. So take heart and try again! There are people on this board who got PR the second or even third time trying!

It simply doesn't make sense to have it done under EDE

The only option left in non EDE is worker.

My medical passed in one day under same category but let's see if they decide to cancel it latter like the have done for another person on this forum

Hi there,
How long the IELTS score is valid for the PR application?
I took the IELTS on Sep.20, 2014, and my PR application is till in process. If my IELTS expire before the decision made by the CIC, do I need to re-take the exam?
Thank you.

Hi, pls help! I am a married woman applying ee inland. One of the questions in personal information was"have i use other name?"... I answered "yes" given i used my maiden name before; to support that claim , is a letter of explanation enough to upload as my document or i need legal name change document? I entered canada years ago using my husband's last name so my permit and other document were named accordingly. I wonder if i should answer "no" in the first place. I know this is quite shallow but having a refusal on my first attempt traumatized me.. Thank you!

Create a new profile using the same MyCIC account. You can always withdraw the new profile if your old application is reopened.
Do I use the same Jobbank credentials when creating a new profile?
