My letter has no date on it along with the signature. However, the content of the letter mentions my start date with the company (it's for my current job) . Should that be okay?Asivad Anac said:If there is no date along with the signature, that's probably fine. Is it dated anywhere at all? Else, it is definitely prudent to get a reference letter which is dated and send it out along with a CSE explaining this miss.
No concerns there.sam_172452 said:My letter has no date on it along with the signature. However, the content of the letter mentions my start date with the company (it's for my current job) . Should that be okay?
If your reference letter mentions the start date and isn't dated then how is CIC going to know how many years you've worked there? Since it' for your current job did they write that you started working there from X date till present? If they did then how would they know what present is if the letter isn't dated? For all they know you may have gotten the letter last year or any time or did they write how many years you've worked there on the letter?sam_172452 said:My letter has no date on it along with the signature. Valid point. I guessed that the letter would say that the OP was still working with them but it wasn't clear in their message.Anya654 said:If your reference letter mentions the start date and isn't dated then how is CIC going to know how many years you've worked there? Do confirm this sam_172452.
This is fine provided there was a date to the letter. When it is undated, Anya's point is valid. It could cause confusion.sam_172452 said:This is what my letter reads:
Please accept this letter of confirmation of current employment for Mr. xxxx xxxxx. Mr. xxxxx has been employed by XXX Ltd., Abu Dhabi Branch since 7 January 2013 holding the position of Environmental Consultant since that time. I am his Team Leader and immediate supervisor.
They said that the additional documents I sent have been attached to my application.dragon17Sky said:really they replied in 3 business day ? what did they say?

Relax. Let CIC do the hard work here.sam_172452 said:The letter was undated
I literally feel like I'm about to cry
I have submitted payslips for last 6 months prior to the submission of my application. Would that help show that I am really currently employed?Asivad Anac said:Relax. Let CIC do the hard work here.
At your end, get a revised letter asap and keep it handy. Submit it along with a CSE only if your application is declined because of this reason - none of us can predict the chances of that happening though so there is a chance that you might squeeze through without needing the revised letter. Better to stay prepared for those eventualities though.
All the best!
I think you should do that and also send another reference letter but this time dated. I remember going through the old FSW thread and seeing a few ppl rejected because their reference letters weren't dated.sam_172452 said:I have submitted payslips for last 6 months prior to the submission of my application. Also, I got a promotion and a pay increment last month. Should I send a CSE with a DATED updated letter confirming that I received a promotion which only effects my reported salary and does not have any impact on my duties and responsibilities? I would then pass this dated letter as a CSE simply by being proactive and keeping CIC updated about my work life??
What do you suggest Asivad?

I wouldn't recommend this course of action. Do not attract attention to things. Almost everyone will have something or the other out of place in their documentation and it is prudent to let CIC do the hard work of finding those chinks rather than revealing them on your own.sam_172452 said:I have submitted payslips for last 6 months prior to the submission of my application.
