I have a quick question regarding that "continuous" condition in the work experience requirement:

My full time (45hrs/week) work experience is
25 September 2011 - 12 August 2012
17 June 2014 - Now

I had to take 2 years off to study my masters abroad.

1- Does the first period qualify as a full year even though it wasn't a complete 365 days? No
2- Does the above mentioned dates mean that I have an overall 3 years of work experience, or does that 2 year gap affect my experience? Not yet.

Thanks boys

Thank you CanadaWeCome.

While filling the EE Profile, I was asked to enter work experience in the (Year/Month) format, so I ended up getting points for the Sep 2011-Aug 2012 period. Does this still mean I am risking a rejection when I apply, or does CIC count in months?

On the other hand, when you said "not yet", I need to know why. Is it because of the first period or the 2 year gap?

Thank you again

Hello guys, I need your help

I have received my ITA, and submitted my all documents online, also schedule A, but I have mentioned my ECA Number but did not upload documents, and also I had rejection in one country which I have mentioned in schedule A but did not submit stamp of my passport.

Now please advise me what to do
They asked me to submit pcc so can I submit remaining documents along with my pcc ?

Seniors please do the needful.

Although they ask you just for month/year, but calculations consider 365 days to be completed for counting it as an year along with the minimum of 30Hrs./week for full-time job or equivalent for part time.

On the other hand, when you said "not yet", I need to know why. Is it because of the first period or the 2 year gap? A: Its because of the gap.

Thank you again

ECA No. is enough (if your No. ends with suffix IMM). ECA report is NOT required.

Yes you can and should.

Not required. Both my spouse and I had visa refusals in the past, we mentioned in Schedula A - no additional document.
We've gotten PPR.

Many people who did not upload ECA (just provided the number) have also gotten PPR.
This seems to have happened a few months ago, but there are no recent reports of people getting rejected because of not uploading the ECA...only when the ECA was not done for the foreign credential.

Hello All,

Please Im in need of an urgent response to my enquiry.

Are students with valid study permits in Canada Eligible for getting PR through express entry before the completion of their degree ?

My situation is this:
I'm applying for the study permit. Coincidentally, I am also in the process of gaining another degree which would boost my Express entry points in the pool. (Just for WES to evaluate and i would have more points...Just enough to get an ITA)

Now, once I have the study permit and Im in Canada, can i apply for Permanent Residence if my EE points are enough to get an invitation to apply ?

I dont want to get rejected thats why.

Thanks

I am not sure if this advice is very thoughtful. Yes, nothing prevents you from entering express entry pool and even submit application if you get an ITA.

However, on what basis will you get an ITA is not quite clear to me. You could score high enough in English, education and stuff to meet CRS bar, that I don't know.

But you also need to qualify requirements for one of the 3 mainstream PR programs. FSW, CEC or PNP.

For all major provinces, PNP often asks you to be already here for a while though some provinces allow PNP if you have education from there e.g. Ontario.

For either of CEC or FSW, you need at least one year of experience in your skilled field. For CEC it is Canadian experience with more scrutiny. For FSW it is still one year of outside Canada experience in the same profession.

So unless you meet at least one of these program's requirements, any CRS score is irrelevant. Hope that helps.

The question was straight forward and simple. Can s/he apply for EE with a study permit. The answer is yes. Would s/he get enough point to be eligible for any program (wasn't asked, but...) maybe, depends on his/her profile. I was on a study permit.
