has anyone knows anybody that ever got rejected after putting the wrong NOC and then contacted by the government and then changed it as they "suggested?"
My story is this:
"Dear Applicant,
This refers to your application for Nomination under the Ontario Human Capital Priorities – CEC.
You selected NOC 2112 as the appropriate classification for your work experience the EE profile and the same NOC is noted in the application form. The OINP must be satisfied that you performed a substantial number of the duties listed under the lead statement and main duties in order to consider you eligible for a nomination. I am not satisfied that NOC 2112 is the appropriate for your job position at xxxxxx.
NOC 2112 includes chemists who conduct research and analysis in support of industrial operations, product and process development, quality control, environmental control, medical diagnosis and treatment, biotechnology, nanotechnology and other applications.
Occupations in this group perform some or all of the following duties:
· Analyze, synthesize, purify, modify and characterize chemical or biochemical compounds.
· Develop and conduct programs of analysis to ensure quality control of raw materials, chemical intermediates or final products
· Conduct programs of sample and data collection and analysis to identify and quantify environmental toxicants
· Conduct research to develop new chemical formulations and processes and devise new technical applications of industrial chemicals and compounds
· Conduct research to discover, develop, refine and evaluate new products such as those used in nanomedicine, nanoelectronics and other applications of chemistry
· Conduct fundamental and applied research into the synthesis and properties of chemical compounds and the mechanisms of chemical reactions
· Investigate chemical aspects of the mechanisms of drug action, the diagnosis and treatment of disease, organ function and the assessment of health.
The employer support letter from xxxxx does not demonstrate that you performed a substantial number of the duties listed under the lead statement and main duties for this NOC.
The employer letter from xxxx lists as your job position Lab Technician and it details the duties accordingly. Some of the duties listed in the employment reference letter are as follows:
· Receiving incoming product and performing pre sifting blend checks for Production
· Assisting with the finished blend sampling and lab test management
· Responsible for sample composites and sample submissions to our outside lab
· Performing spot checks as required and performs lab report evaluations
· Responsible for finished product samples and raw material stock expiry.
We invite you to review the lead statement and the main duties under a NOC classified as a high-skilled NOC which may match the duties as a Lab Technician and satisfies the requirements of our program.
Kindly confirm via return email whether you will be maintaining your selection of NOC 2112 Chemist in your EE profile and application form, or whether having reviewed any other NOC you feel may be appropriate, you will be updating your NOC in your EE profile, as well as the information in your application form.
You will have seven calendar days to provide the requested information / documentation. Should mitigating circumstances beyond your control prevent you from meeting this deadline, kindly request an extension in advance of the deadline. Should you choose not to provide the requested information / documentation within the appropriate timeframe, your application will continue in processing based on the information and documentation currently on file, which may lead to the denial of your application."
So I changed my NOC to 2211.
I'm assuming this is fine? I'm hoping no rejection will happen? I have been looking through threads and it looks like nobody have ever been offered such opportunity to change their NOC while their application is in progress. If anybody have encountered the same thing, please do let me know what the end result is.
