I already submitted my application on Nov 30, 2015....Now worried regarding the same... :( :(

Till that time there is no updates except medicals passed..
Then, I suggest you to get a PCC that is not time/geography bound and raise a CSE ASAP! Doing nothing is not the best course of option, IMO.

Ohh thats a big trouble ....

But CIC cleary mentions on their website that for Punjab (India) applicants can get their PCC from SSP office and its their fixed format and they provide PCC to thousands of people on daily basis . How can we request them to change as it should not be time/geography bound...

Hi all,
regarding the PCC address issue ..

I read the information here and checked how things are in my country.
So the format of the PCC is this :

name, identification number, current address, names of parents, place of birth
then it says "the person has not been convicted"

It does not include any previous address and is not separated by address. Should I try to ask them to include my previous address? I lived in the same address since I was 18 with small stays in a different country. However, I moved to my husband's address in october ..

What should I do in this case?
This is just fine. It's the others who might be in some trouble with time-bound or address/geography-bound PCCs.

As already discussed multiple times on this forum, you can get a PCC from PSK. PSK issued PCC s are not time/geography bound.

There is no such thing. Generally speaking if you wish to go very fair way - submit your NIC and use the address on it and get a single police certificate.

If you address has changed on NIC more than once, you need to get multiple police certificates each from the corresponding THANA which falls into your address.

A way around is just to tell your current police station to use your address for full length of time as on your NIC. Thora kharcha karwatay hain (max 2-3k PKR phir kehtay hain, jitna period chahiay likhwa lo chahay NIC par pura period tha ya nahin)
Hi fkl,

I got a a single PCC from my city police station and on that PCC "Living since birth" is mentioned and my PCC also contains my current address. However I spent two years in another city for study purpose and that I mentioned in my address history.

Do you think that I have to get another PCC from the city where I spent two years for studying? or this PCC is fine as this is not time bound.

Regards

I would suggest you go ahead and get it, or better still depending on the country you are from, apply one at the Federal agency so its not time/geography bound.

My country is in PAKISTAN, and in Pakistan every PCC is address bound, and there is no federal agency in Pakistan for issuing PCC.

In that case go ahead and get one for each address OR cover the time period from 18 yrs. of age till date.

Thanks, but

Submitting multiple PCCs from same country :'(, Not sure about it, has anyone done this before?

The time period is covered as on my PCC it is mentioned clearly "Living at this address since BIRTH" :)

Moreover, according to the CIC website in Pakistan one should obtain PCC from city Police Station, well ......that is the only way

Yea i read that...but both you and me know that you have also mentioned about your studies where you clearly stated that you lived in another city. They too will read that, right?

Yes :( But I think PCC is not TIME bound so it should work.

What about you, have you submitted multiple PCCs?

PCCs may be time bound but not geography bound (generally) within a country.

No, I won't (not for the same country at least), but surely for different countries.

For different countries it is understandable.

"Geography bound" is the fault in PCC and CIC should accept it. If one has lived in 05 different cities then will he provide PCCs from 5 different police stations for the same country.. Not at all.

CIC makes no such concessions - read about earlier refusals on this issue in this very thread.

Hi Asivad,

In your opinion I have to get multiple PCCs from different cities for the same country because my address history is showing that I spent 02 years in a different city for study purpose.

Although on my PCC it is mentioned that living in this district "since birth"
