Guys, does Ontario accept travelers card for the application fee payment? Any other options other than credit card?

HI Guys,

It seems the CRS points are going to shoot up till the end of this year. Can someone please provide some insight into my following query.
I have a Work exp of around 2year and 7 months in NOC 2132. I have proper reference letter for this and all other documents. But before i got into this job, i worked for around 7 months in NOC 4131. But i didnt claim any points for this job. I was wondering if there is any chance to claim points for combined 3years. This will help me earn additional 25 more points. Can i combine the work Exp of two different NOCs? any thoughts???

No, you can't claim combine points from different NOCs.
Your work experience must be:
  • in the same type of job as your primary NOC
  • within the last 10 years
  • paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships don’t count)
  • at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2016 National Occupational Classification (NOC)
  • at least 1 year (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous:
    • full-time at 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
    • equal amount in part-time: 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
    • full-time at more than 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
You must show that you did the duties set out in the occupational description in the NOC. This includes most of the main duties listed.
If you can’t show that your work experience meets the description in the NOC, you aren’t eligible under this program.

Hi Guys,

Me and wife, we received the ITA for Canada on 8th November as our CRS was 491, I have a question she works in Australia and I am in US studying my Second Masters degree. We married in Australia in June and also as has Australian EOI registered for PR there as well.

My questions are:
1) Will our Australian marriage certificate work for immigration to Canada as we both are Indian citizens?
2) I lived in UK from 2008-2012 and again 2013-2014, My UK PCC has date of creation 26th may but date of issue is 5th June, Do i need to reapply for PCC for UK as i have not visited UK again since 2014 and i am currently in US?

Any insights are welcome!
Thank you all in Advance

It's not a mistake / error. First priority is given to those who have a CRS which equals the cut off and their profiles are old. It ignores the applicants even if their score is higher than the cut off unless there's a room available to accomodate them.

Request you to read the below line which has been copied from the CIC page (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1318&top=29) which has the example of the tie breaker rule.

"The Express Entry system ranks candidates in the pool by their CRS score. In case of a CRS tie, the system will then rank all tied candidates based on the date and time that they submitted their profile."

Please read it few times and then explain it as a reply to this post.

I guess only time will tell whether it's an error or not. Moreover, I highly doubt these guys could make an error

Do you think CIC employs God? :)

Humans make errors, it is a very normal thing.

Also, you do not need to wait till the next draw, do the below activity to find out the fact!

Hi all, PCC from UK still valid after 6 months of issuance? Wanted to gather documents ahead but with the current trend, I doubt I'll be submitting an eAPR soon.
If outside the UK, PCC is valid indefinitely after the creation date and as long as you do not return to the UK.

If you still live in the UK

Does this go for all countries e.g. my wife used to be in UAE, can I get a certificate for her now and use it as long as she does not go back there.

Bearing in mind, the UAE certificate states at the bottom that it is valid for 3 months only.

As long as the content mentions your title, responsibilities and other details as required in a reference letter, it should be fine. Also, it will help if you mention the name of the company and website also in the body of the letter. This is what I think. Please check with others as well

Ideally, it should hold good for any country other that your current location.

Try to submit as many documents as possible, like pay stubs , your contract or any document if any of them has both English and Hindi on the letterhead.
