Indeed it'll be interesting to know how the OINP will develop as the EE points go down. As the cut off score gets near 400, OINP will have to find other ways to attract candidates.

Ee might raise its draws instead of oinp to decrese its points

Completely off topic but might as well ask since we are killin time for tomorrows draw.

OINP's quota is 6,000 for the year. Surely there are more than 6000 applicants 400+. How does OINP issue the invitations to apply (Provincial interest).

Do all applicants who have scores of 400+ receive an invitation and then the first 6000 people who apply with correct documents get the Nomination?
#im a noob

I think that OINP will issue NOI in small batches and will monitor the CIC draws to keep its points tally competitive. Initially they might pick people from 415-425 as their chances to get invitation from CIC look bleak for next 4 draws(total 56 days, such applicants will have to apply as waiting for CIC might put them at risk). Later on, they might pick from 400-414 as CIC cut off goes below 420(if ever such a thing happen).
.
In such manner, they can prevent themselves from overloads and can draw maximum high human capital priorities applicants.

This is my assumption, anybody who would like to add something???

Adding to astralsource response; As per my understanding, Even if you go with valid reason for applying PR alone (Not bringing your spouse to Canada), once you get your PR, you can apply only Visitor visa for your wife. Then she can stay here for 6 months as a visitor, cannot work and cannot get any benefits (Health, etc). After 6 months, she has to leave Canada. Meanwhile you have to apply PR for your wife, takes very long time to get Spousal sponsorship.

He might be right about open work permit, Im not an expert on that subject.

and after a long period of time (1 year) all those who are 400 and above gets their chances again. This time its looking even more positive. Today is supposed to be a good one :)

Folks, I created my Express Entry Profile 2 days ago. My profile is still showing "Pending Additional Criteria". Would you all know how long it takes before I can see my score there. Strangely i got a email stating the submission of profile and got accepted in the pool

It takes 24 hours for the job bank to be activated, when did you registered for it?

I just now checked with my friend who has also applied individually and he shared below link with me.
Rules have changed from 10th Jan 2017 . I dont know how much processing was earlier for Spousal Sponsorship but now it is processed within 12 months and meanwhile partner can apply for open WP as well.
cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse.asp

It seems its better to apply individually if you want to make it to draw early & suspsecting that you might miss score by 1-2 points.

My job bank is already active. I created it yesterday..
If you have submitted your profile and job bank is activated then ideally you should get "submitted" mentioned where you are getting "pending". Sometimes it takes 48 hours for the CRS score to show, If you are completely sure that you have fulfilled all information properly then wait for few hours, your scores will definitely come up soon.
