in your case, you may receive ITA based on 471 only ( predicting this score in jan). No need to wait till Feb, just submit exp documents for cont. 1 year along with LOE.

thanks narindersahib :)
good luck to you too

Ok All, Chill and take a pill......heck with so many docs on this thread, we might even get the pills.....!!!

Now just for others to learn too:

Internships done in Canada don't count as experience.

Internships done outside Canada, and follow the work experience guidelines (i.e. 30hrs/week) Do count.

Internships done outside Canada before graduation, in my opinion do count also, as long as they are paid.
Based on FSW requirements they clearly state that if the internship is not paid, only then it doesn't count. They didn't say before or after graduation.
There was a case on this forum, a person from Egypt who got PR for this.

There are other threads for ppl from India discussing whether to include or not.

For Escobar's case, and other western Europe system where the internship is done after finishing all years of medicine, is 100% safe.

I believe it all depends on the documents presented and format and proof. The VO needs to be 100% convinced.

Best of luck to all.

rental pay slips and leave and license agreement will do to prove clinic? ? I also have patient invoices, website and bills on clinic name.
could somebody please answer this? ?

Declined my ITA last night, and updated some stuff, like work experience and POF (by the way even though I put only $2000, still shows MET for FSW).............Boom Shaka Laka.......just checked my status, went from Processing to Submitted in less than 10 hours.

Now patiently waiting for next ITA, hopefully we all get it.....!!!

By the way, for any CEC ppl on here, for POF just upload a letter saying it is N/A for us, as instructed by CIC.
For FSW you need to show Bank statements and Letter from Bank showing 6months average. Pls see FSW guidelines on CICs website.

Good luck to all.

We have the old profile expired and withdrawn. We created a new profile and informed CIC of same. They transferred our points in 2 days (thankful to them). Now we have received the Nomination Certificate hard copy today for the old EE Profile. Question is that when we apply after ITA, will this Nomination Certificate hold OK (they will internally link the two Profiles logically) or will they send us a new one for new profile (if yes, do we have to request or they will do it automatically )...? This maybe a very stupid query, still appreciate if any once can answer or clarify it..

Skilled work experience

Your work experience must be:

at least one year (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous full-time or an equal amount in part-time,
paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships do not count),
in the same job,
within the last 10 years, and
at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 National Occupational Classification (NOC).

This is from FSW requirements.

So wednesday is the lucky day? I say CIC starts fresh and openS the year with MAX 470 CRS cut off and 1600 ITA's.

Hey guys,

I know this might not be the right thread for it but I haven't received any answers in other threads and here I think people are more active! Does anyone have experience with the IEC Young Professionals Program (employer specific visa)? Or anyone also considering to participate under that program? I would be eligible to work for 1.5 years in Canada and the employer does not need to obtain a LMIA. I'm also in the express entry pool and after one year I would receive more points because of the Canadian work experience plus more points due to the fact that I have a job offer (I'm currently stuck at 456 points).
However, the big challenge is to secure a job from abroad. I am currently not living in Canada and would have to apply from my home country. Would companies even bother to hire someone under the IEC who is not domiciled in Canada and who you can't invite for an interview?

Any thoughts? Any tips?

Thanks!

Having an iec does not count as a job offer. You will still need an lmia.

Thank you for the information, however I am doubtful because I was pursuing my full time MBA ( in India) during the time of my paid internship ( 40 hours/week). This internship( industrial training) was part of my academic curriculum. Do you think this would be consider as discrepancy ?
