Still at 459. The last draw was better than expected.

There must be a lot of people stuck between 460-470, because there has not been a draw below 470 since april 2016...

so maybe:
draw 51: 469, 2800 ita's
draw 52: 466, 2800 ita's
draw 53: 463, 2800 ita's

I think it will go down to 470 very fast... does not matter if it is in the next round or the one after...
But it will go very slow below 470 because this score range has no been cleared for a long time... so there must be many people in the 460-470 range.. .
is this logic right?

Please give some pointers on writing section. got 8,8,8, W6.5 last time, reluctantly booked the test again. While was absolute confident last time, the writing score has indeed shaken me up! Thanks in advance.

I would love to but I have no real idea. My partner and I are both native speakers and in all honesty we were both very surprised by the 8 in writing. I know on here I struggle with my fat fingers on my tablet but I thought I had done much better in the writing test. Boyfriend got 8 too and was a bit annoyed I did get advice from IELTS Liz, if you Google her.

Also what the hell did I do on that writing?! I have no idea how I screwed that up so much!! Still a CLB 9 though

So, Fatani, do you think the govt will bring Scores down to that 400-420 level to keep the international student industry thriving?

There should be a balance as well you just cant pull every fish from the pool of water. Thats why intl students were given only 15-30 points to get the most deserving ones and who are waiting since ages to get in.

They could have easily given them 100-200 bonus points. Intl students were disappointed with 15-30 points they termed these changes as nothing and they wanted those 100-200 bonus points. But that would have been unfair to most in the pool who might be more deserving than some Intl students but would never get in.

2800 per draw? that is unlikely to happen. The high numbers currently might be because they want to fill the quota for 2016. I would keep the average ita count to 2000.

Keep the hopes high if not 2800 it will be around 2500 which is still a good number. And 2016 quota is already filled up now they are drawing from 2017 quota because whoever receives ITA now will earliest land in 2017.
