Its true to some extent in general ..but as long as you meet the criteria it does not matter. I graduated from univ in alberta ...dont see it going any fast.

PS - i think the folks who got file number in early november should be getting nomination soon.

I think we have to face to the fact that a group of people who received their file no in the end of Oct are still waiting the nomination.

Another change from AINP office about accepting and/or processing of application.

http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/immigrating/ainp-processing-times.aspx

In my opinion, since they received bulk applications, they may or may not accept some applications for processing with emphasis to those who have not yet received their file number.
This kinda a sad update.

This is a somewhat scary part:

"This page is updated regularly as AINP processing times are always subject to change without notice depending on a variety of factors. These factors include but are not limited to: application volumes, available resources, and federal and provincial immigration levels planning. The AINP is limited in the number of nominations it can issue each year based on Citizenship and Immigration Canada's (CIC's) Immigration Levels Plans."

Actually that update is good for so many of those people who wait almost a month or so just for file number. This will atleast inform them the file is with AINP.

The only thing sad is that although they say they have updated processing time - it is still 6 months so whats the change. :o

And Yes I have read...it has always said that since AINP started..lets hope for the best. Although i feel the increase in processing time suddenly after (3-4 years of same processing time) does not make sense...
is there sudden influx of immigrants to Alberta? And are the applications really almost 5 times more.

This change for me somewhat means of the AINP's superficial emphasis (they made it appear less disappointing maybe?) that those who haven't gotten their file numbers yet may not be accepted for processing after all because of the volume of applications they received or else they may just extend the time of release of file numbers.
Well, I'm not saying that those who got their file numbers will get their nominations either.
We'll just hope for the best.

And yes, based on my personal experience, in the industry where I'm working, retail, we receive at the average of 3 applicants a week of whom a graduate from Ontario schools in an open work permit. I come to know further that Alberta is their target coz of "many job openings" here.

I see...maybe thats the reason. A lot of people moving here from the east in general...din know so many of them were foreign workers/post grad workers.

Did anybody here submitted their application last Nov 27 or 28? If yes, have you got your file number? Just curious..

Hello,

Thanks for the update. What is your timeline?
Do you have a file no. already?

Hello Mumay Fort, Netblizz, maplelove, vermanaman and everybody.

I have been away in this forum for a while as I was so stress out waiting for good news.
Good news is at LAST< all those days, weeks of anticipation, finally. Jan 8 received thru mail the news. AINP approved nomination..

However, on the top right portion that says: FOR CIC USE ONLY, it says, worker-NO JOB OFFER written. What does it mean? Anyone, can enlighten me on these?I know for a fact that i dont need an LMO if applying for work permit, is that right?
Thank you

You can email AINP and ask about it.
Meanwhile, don't worry you got your nomination
