Hi Friends,
I'm a PR and preparing to apply for my wife who is outside of Canada under family class (spouse sponsorship) program. I have below questions regarding some documents. Sorry, I have asked too many questions and apologize in advance if questions are boring! Thanks in advance.

1. Regarding IMM 5532
-----------------------------
Q1. Do we (sponsor & applicant) need to fillout two separate forms (I believe one form is good...just wanted to make sure...)

Q2.
Section Part C
How to answer the quesitons in this section? Is it from sponsor or applicant's perspective) - the form says this section to be filled out

by the sponsor and the principal applicant but guide (IMM 5289) says to be filleout by applicant. I just want to make sure I'm not

missing anything. Since I'm (sponsor) filling out the form mainly, most of the time I'm answering the from my perspective. Is it correct approach? for example,

Who travelled to visit whom?
I (sponsor) traveled to visit my wife (applicant).

Or

I (sponsor) first contacted her by phone on <date>.

2. Regarding IMM 1344
------------------------------------
Q1. If you are found ineligible to sponsor, indicate whether you want to ...withdraw/proceed. As far as I can understand, if you

withdraw (you can reapply and cannot appeal), if you proceed you can appeal. Can anybody tell me what's the significance of the two options? Which one is preferred in what circumstances?

3. I'm (sponsor) already PR - do I need to provide "Additional Family Information" again? Similary, do I need fill out "Schedule A:
----------
bacground declaration form"

4. Regarding IMM 5533 (Document check list)
-------------------
Q7. Proof of relationship to sponsor
- Photos of wedding: Please write your name and date of birth on the back of each photo.... is it my wife's name (applicant)??
- Documentary evidence of financial support between sponsor and yourself...Is it like a bank statement/transfer of money which shows she got financial support from me?

5. In a old thread, I see forms like Spouse/Partner Questionnaire (IMM 5490) - Is it still valid? I don't see it in document check list.
------

Thanks again!

1. 1. IMM5532. You fill out just one form. Part A is for the sponsor and part B is for the applicant.
2. I think it can be filled out from either perspective, as long as it is clear.
2. IMM1344. Say you want to withdraw the application if you are found ineligible to sponsor. This way you will get most of your money back, you will find out the problems with the application quickly and can then fix them and reapply. If you choose to continue with the application, you will not be refunded a larger portion of the money, it will take longer to get the result, and you will in the end be rejected - because without an eligible sponsor, the applicant will not get the PR visa. People choose to continue with the application even if the sponsor is found ineligible when they know the sponsor is ineligible, know they will lose, but are hoping to win the appeal on humanitarian and compassionate grounds. I am assuming this is not your case. Occasionally the sponsor is rejected because of a mistake, and it is better to find out right away, correct it, and reapply.
If you choose to end the application if the sponsor is found ineligible, you have lost your appeal rights only for appealing the sponsor's ineligibility. If he or she is found eligible to sponsor, and the application continues, and in the end the visa is refused, you can still appeal that decision.
3. No, you do not fill out the Additional Family Information form. That is just for the applicant. Schedule A is also just for the applicant.
4. 7. It should be the applicant's name and date of birth. The proof of financial support can be bank transfers, proof you sent money through Western Union, payment of credit cards, etc. - whatever shows one supported the other.
5. The government just changed the forms, so you will see lots of discussion of forms that are no longer needed. If it is not on the checklist, you do not use it.
