Fresh out of the oven - just came back to Montreal from Lacolle border with permanent residency! Very happy now. I probably even look different :D
As people are always interested in others landing experiences, here is mine: nothing special. I drove to the border with a friend, but we did not flagpole. We went to Champlain because of cheaper gas and had a cup of coffee :D Then came back, told the Canadian officer that we have immigration paperwork to complete. At the immigration office it took about 15-20 minutes and I was good to go! Passport, current work permit, CSQ, CoPR were sufficient, and they asked me to disclose how much money I had (I was asked to write the sum on a piece of paper, so basically how much I have on my bank account). They informed me that my PR card should arrive in about 90 days... And that I should go visit Service Canada and RAMQ as soon as possible to update my status for new SIN and whatnot. I was there approximately at noon, and there was almost no lineup either way.

i think if you sent the email the 15th , its still early to judge , 11 days is still not that long , but if they pass 20 days-one month .. thats really long

Congrats @Betula, good luck!
Can you please explain what do you mean by "did not flagpole"?
I assume that you should have went to US gate and should have received administrative refusal paper and returned back to Canada gate.
Based on the map direction which you replied in the morning, can you guide which direction you took?

Yeah so we did not use the administrative refusal route. I did it with my work permit in December and it was no problem. This time my friend just wanted to actually enter the US and go buy gas and something else. I'm from visa-waived country so it was not a problem for me to join my friend and cross the border for a brief visit to the US.

Ok thanks, As per PR card timeline, it should be 61 days for new PR card isnt? I am not sure why the officer had told you 90 days to get PR card.
