Fresh out of the oven - just came back to Montreal from Lacolle border with permanent residency! Very happy now. I probably even look different
As people are always interested in others landing experiences, here is mine: nothing special. I drove to the border with a friend, but we did not flagpole. We went to Champlain because of cheaper gas and had a cup of coffee
Then came back, told the Canadian officer that we have immigration paperwork to complete. At the immigration office it took about 15-20 minutes and I was good to go! Passport, current work permit, CSQ, CoPR were sufficient, and they asked me to disclose how much money I had (I was asked to write the sum on a piece of paper, so basically how much I have on my bank account). They informed me that my PR card should arrive in about 90 days... And that I should go visit Service Canada and RAMQ as soon as possible to update my status for new SIN and whatnot. I was there approximately at noon, and there was almost no lineup either way.
