Ok thanks, As per PR card timeline, it should be 61 days for new PR card isnt? I am not sure why the officer had told you 90 days to get PR card.

I know... I think she wanted to be cautious. She did say also that if nothing has happened by 2 months, I should call the number she highlighted in an info sheet. So I guess 61 days is the usual, but... I did see 90 days last year so maybe it fluctuates rapidly?? And she didn't want to get my hopes up

Fresh out of the oven - just came back to Montreal from Lacolle border with permanent residency! Very happy now. I probably even look different
As people are always interested in others landing experiences, here is mine: nothing special. I drove to the border with a friend, but we did not flagpole. We went to Champlain because of cheaper gas and had a cup of coffee Then came back, told the Canadian officer that we have immigration paperwork to complete. At the immigration office it took about 15-20 minutes and I was good to go! Passport, current work permit, CSQ, CoPR were sufficient, and they asked me to disclose how much money I had (I was asked to write the sum on a piece of paper, so basically how much I have on my bank account). They informed me that my PR card should arrive in about 90 days... And that I should go visit Service Canada and RAMQ as soon as possible to update my status for new SIN and whatnot. I was there approximately at noon, and there was almost no lineup either way.

Congrats! Now you should create a new spreadsheet and start counting days toward your citizenship. A never-ending maze. lol

1. I need to return to US asap after landing, hence no PR card for future return to Canada (drive across the boarder). But my family in Canada can collect my PR card and mail to me.
1. After first time landing, upon provided Canadian address, CIC will automatically send the PR card to the Canadian address, correct? Or I need to provide something extra and then wait for the PR card?

background check changed in progress this week ( been always not started since the begining)

On last year December 12 cic asked me to send revised annex A and I am still waiting for DM . It's been more than 15 months I am waiting.

Is that some thing 80% of their applications gets processed based on months they show during the submission of Federal ? example those applied in last year their application will get processed on 13 months and one who submit now will gets processed in 14 months ?

No. The processing time reflects the amount of months it took to process an application in 80% of the cases during the past 12 months (I think this is the reference period). That's why it changes all the time. It has nothing to do with how much time you have ahead of you at the time of application. It only reflects the usual speed which is subject to change at any time, depending on many factors.

Check out the first link in my signature, it's a spreadsheet with timelines for inland applicants (and a couple of overseas visa offices). You should look at the first sheet, QSW VO Ottawa. It will give you some idea about what is going on with recent applications.

Looks like it should between 90 days to 115 days since they received your application based on last 6 months analysis

It depends on the work load of the Visa office in which your application has been assigned.
However as per the current trend an Inland applicant is getting their visas in 14-15 months whereas some other visa offices are taking a bit long up to 18-19 Months too.
So, kindly note that it totally depends on the visa office.
