Quebec Skilled Worker Federal Stage (After CSQ)

After 10 months of waiting, I finally got my passport request today! I am so excited and should probably get a beer to chill out a bit.

Anyway, my timeline is as the followings:

VISA OFFICE : Ottawa
File received : June,15th, 2015
AOR : Sept, 3rd, 2015
Medical Request: About Jan, 18th, 2016
Medical Done : About Jan, 23rd, 2016
Police Clearance: Feb, 12th, 2016
PCC received : Feb, 29th, 2016
Passport request: April, 15th,2016
(BTW, It's been a year and I still couldn't figure out how to put my time line as "Signature" in this forum)

Through out this year, I got the following situation.

1) Stayed in China for almost half a year after I submit my application.
2) Did my medical examination in China
3) Mistakenly filled my date of graduation to be someday in 2014 instead of 2015 in the background information form. But I sent in an email and a scanned version of a new background information form to CIC. Although the situation was rectified, I still feel the cringe.... :'( Because they can just return my application and let me wait for another year....

Now, it is question time.

1) How long does it take to get my passport back after I submit it?
2) What is next step?
3) When will I get my maple card?

Congratz my friend, My application is a few days after yours. Hopefully I will get PPR soon

Congrats to all who already reached to ppr or just got it back.

Well seems that things are moving slowly but surely so hopefully the rest of us can get our paper process to next stage till getting our passport stamp very soon.

Since i received my AOR in Feb 2016 no news but i saw on my E-case that they started processing my application on March 2016
Hopefully i get something this month finger cross

What was the email id you used to update your background information form ?

It was the same email I used and put under my main application form. In fact, it was when CIC sent me an email stating that my background information form wasn't complete that I realized the mistakes in the form. So I replied directly to the email.

Hi Steph,

To get the signature I think you have at least 10 posts.

1)My passport took just about 2 weeks to come back via courier (included a prepaid courier envelope).

2)Once you get the visa back you have until the deadline given to arrive in Quebec

3)For the card it seems to vary but I know somewhere it mentions about 3 months. Some people have waited for over 100 days.

I realized that you sent your document more than a month later when you received your passport request. The email they sent me requires me to submit it within 30 days.

I was asked to send the same form few months ago
As long as I know it might be whether due to incomplete form or a need to update the info
I emailed the form and it was ok

My timeline was updated today
Although a line is added but it is no new info
I mean now I have two exactly similar lines that say "we sent you correspondence acknowledging the receipt of your application on ..."
The date thu is different on the two lines one is Nov10 the other Nov9
Any thoughts?!!
