Please let me know if you sent out the passport and how it went. based on latest updates in the forum, maybe sending out the passport would trigger issuing the BIL, even if not the most convenient way.

Nothing! Raised another webform underlining the urgency of the situation but have not heard anything from them yet. It’s been two weeks.

Very similar issue, original passport requested but biometrics expire in a few weeks. I paid the biometrics fee and raised a webform along with the receipt. I received an Email acknowledging the receipt of documents. No BIL yet.

Sure I do. I'm reading the booklet. potentially, they could ask for very detailed questions but according to some online tests I have already taken, you'll do fine if you read the booklet thoroughly and you don't really need to remember all the dates except the very important ones.
