Hello All, I am planning to submit my application Along with my parents end of this week. But I’m having some confusion filling out the form. I was wondering if someone can help me with these questions

1. My eligibility period from online calculator shows 1 year earlier than I entered Canada. There’s a question asking do you live outside of Canada during your eligibility period. For that there’s an additional form CIT 01777 but when I click the form it’s shows the form is for crown servant and their family. Am I doing wrong to click yes for that question ?

2. I have been worked as a contractor (under my incorporation) for one year, how to list in form ? As name of employer should I use incorporation name or should I use contracting company ? Also for name of contact and emails in employment section we have to mention anyone from company ?

3. My passport expired last month, but in form it says the travel document shouldn’t have any gap or cover all eligibility period. What to do about it ?

4. I’m filling representative form for my parents and including myself as their representative. Is that okay ?

Thanks,

Yes it's the employers information. You just fill what you have and if you don't have them just put N/A.

Thanks,
1. You can tick Yes. .Then just attach CIT 0177e form indicating Not Applicable on that form..
2. Use your incorporation name and address as being contractor you are considered a self-employed and in contact details, mention your details...
3. If there is any gap between your passports, in Q.14 Table B, explain your situation.. If you can't fit all you would like to explain, just add extra letter
explaining your situation.
4. Yes, you can also add any relative including yourself as a representative.

I hope this helps..

Hello All

I am planning to apply next week as my eligibility period is complete today.

Have few questions while filling the forms.

1. question 9(c) During your eligibility period did you live outside of Canada:

I have visited three times to my home country during my eligibility period. But never stayed more than 3 weeks. Should I select yes or no?

Just confused about the answer.

If yes do I have to attach form CIT 0177

2. question 15(a) As a proof of knowledge of english me and my wife have IELTS certificate copies. But it’s from when I applied for skilled worker in 2014. Should I attach or photocopies of my degree will work as I have heard we don’t need Ielts certificates now.

Thanks in advance for your precious reply.

Hey

As long as I know she either has to have finished school here (a degree from a Canadian school) or take some standard language tests such as the IELTS to qualify.

here is the lines from cic.gc.ca

Photocopies of your proof of English or French language ability if you are 18-54 years of age. Examples of what you can provide include the following:
  • results of a third-party language test;
  • diploma, certificate or transcripts from a secondary or post-secondary education program in Canada or abroad, where the language of study was English or French
  • proof that you have reached the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 4 or higher through a government-funded language training program
my wife qualifies under point 2.
