hi friends,
I applied for Quebec Skilled worker program in 2016,I am married and our points were calculated and said we were eligible while filing. But after the new announcement in 8 March 2017 with changes in the point system, we fell short of one point. Agency says that whether the new rules are applicable for us. Not pretty sure of that. Can anybody please clarify my doubt. Thank you

from what was posted on Quebec's site, the new rules apply to all unprocessed files.

Yes mate.. That's true. All applicants who applied 2016,15,14 affected from this new points grid. There's a class action against midi regard this in Montreal courts. Not yet given the decision. Midi only will refund for applicants Who affected by this new rules if they participate to this class action.. I think best thing is to increase ur points as u are lack of 1 point.. At least u can visit Quebec n gain that point.. That's what i can tell u. Don't giveup ur dreams..

Thank you for ur reply. You are correct.I am planning to sit for IELTS so that if I can get some better score it would meet the criteria.Visiting Quebec for more than 2 weeks would be expensive. One more doubt if my wife cousin is in Quebec then will it be accepted.I am the primary applicant. We never thought about it before.

I thought only spouse, brother/sister, mother/father, grandmother/grandfather will give you 3 points for the new EOI system. Cousin won't give you additional 3 points right ?
