WOW..

The thread is soooo active, that I miss real so much if I missed a couple of days.
That's great :)

Stillhope,
Congratulations.

shootingstar,
I am sorry I did not reply to u in time. I was offline for a couple of days.

Shahi,
You won't believe this..I was about to ask u the very same question u have asked.
As far as I remember we're both IT engineers and I want to know if I may be asked in my interview about any steps I took to get a license from Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).

I know that working in the field of IT is not regulated, but I am really confused about the steps to take with the OIQ.

Has anyone faced such questions in his/her interview???

I know some pharmacists who have been asked about that. (Pharmacy is of course a regulated job)

Your inputs are highly appreciated. ;)

shannon,

It will be considered as good as a new applicant, if there are any removal or addition to the members accompanying the principal applicant.

This is what I got information from many including the Visa offices, but cannot verify this.

regards,
Plncmy.

Thanks angeleye for the response.

Is my computation correct:

Education 10 (4 yrs bcom - Phils grad)
Areas of training 6 (section C)
Experience 8 (9 years)
Age 16
French 12 (planning to take delf b2)
English 5 (listening 8/speaking 6.5)
Spouse 6 (education and age)
Children 8
Finance 1

Total is 72

Am I correct that aside from education I also get points for areas of training?

Hello everyone,

This is my first post in this forum.i really appreciated how you all discuss about your application and decision to immigrate to Canada.welcome on board

I applied to CSQ in July 2009 and i finally got my CSQ in April 2010 as in between there were some documents missing. So had to wait a bit.

Let me summarize it:
- July 2009 : applied for CSQ
- April 2010 i got my CSQ
- June 2010 i applied for PRV in Nairobi
- October 2010 i got my medical
- October 2010 ive added my spouse to BIQ as i got married( congratulations on ur marriage
- December 2010 ive added my spouse to CHC
- March 2011 i was asked to return the "titulaire" they sent to me went i got my CSQ.( I HOPE u accompany the titulaire with a new set of form and documentation for ur spouse and yourself. when u applied as a single, ur case was treated based on a passing grade of 55points but since u are now married ur file will now be reassessed based on a pass mark of 62points out of which ur spouse must contribute hence the need for her . form and documentation)

We are 26 April 2011 today and i am still waiting for the CSQ of my husband and I.

I would like to know if this is the normal procedure as it is taking lots of time as my medical will expire in November 2011.( yeah, that is d normal procedure. on CHC part, if they are able to get ur new application even 1month to the expiration of this Nov 2011 date, they still will work fast to ensure u av ur visa b4 medicals expires, hence ur greatest challenge lies with BIQ.cos if BIQ did not issue these csq CHC hands will b tied and they will b able to justify their not issuing ur visa b4 the expiration of ur medical. it took u 9months to get ur first CSQ, if a new file/dossier number will b issued for u, then u will have to restart by queuing but if the old file number will b used for u, then it means ur file will b assigned rightaway but if on ur part u didnt submit freshly filled form plus ducumentation, the whole thing will just foot drag

Anyone can share their experience to suggest why it is taking so much of time>

Any comments will be highly appreciated.

Rgds

Education 10 (4 yrs bcom - Phils grad) ( do u mean philosophy graduate
Areas of training 6 (section C)
Experience 8 (9 years)
Age 16
French 12 (planning to take delf b2) ( have u had any previous attempt with A2/B1? planning with B2 might b too risky except of course u already are a very good user of the french language or a native speaker
English 5 (listening 8/speaking 6.5)
Spouse 6 (education and age) What of ur spouse's language proficiency ( even with your score which is above the cut-off of 62, not presenting the language proficiency of ur spouse will bring about issues with ur file
Children 8
Finance 1

Total is 72

I mean 4 yrs commerce graduate in Philippines major in management accounting, does it fall under section C in the list which is accounting and management techniques?

beginner in french so maybe just a2? I might submit my application next month, what will I put in the form with my french exam since I haven't taken it yet but still taking classes, where will i indicate my enrollment certificate in the application forms?

my spouse knows nothing of french, so i'll have him take at least a1?

Re: (No subject)

@ snow, yeah degree in accounting does fall under sectn C (2) with A2, u can tick either of 3 or 4. Your enrollment receipts/certificate will b added as part of ur documentatn. U also will include a cover letter in ur applicatn. As this letter will allow u explain that the enrolment receipt u av included serves a proof that u av started taking french classes and that at the expiratn of these classes u will b qualified to take Delf A2 (3) delf A1 is ok for ur spouse

Hi Shahi,

My interview is slated for June and I would appreciate if you can give some of the job portals you used in getting offers as I am a Biochemist and my spouse is and IT Network Engineer which is in your line of job function I guess. Also, any useful interview tips will be appreciated. I sent u a PM sometime ago but no response, hope you'll respond to this.

Thank you.

Hi Shahi,

I have a question for you...

What was your visa office for federal and did you have a code 130 on your CSQ?

Just wonder,

Thanks.
