Hello everyone,
This is my first post in this forum.i really appreciated how you all discuss about your application and decision to immigrate to Canada.welcome on board
I applied to CSQ in July 2009 and i finally got my CSQ in April 2010 as in between there were some documents missing. So had to wait a bit.
Let me summarize it:
- July 2009 : applied for CSQ
- April 2010 i got my CSQ
- June 2010 i applied for PRV in Nairobi
- October 2010 i got my medical
- October 2010 ive added my spouse to BIQ as i got married( congratulations on ur marriage
- December 2010 ive added my spouse to CHC
- March 2011 i was asked to return the "titulaire" they sent to me went i got my CSQ.( I HOPE u accompany the titulaire with a new set of form and documentation for ur spouse and yourself. when u applied as a single, ur case was treated based on a passing grade of 55points but since u are now married ur file will now be reassessed based on a pass mark of 62points out of which ur spouse must contribute hence the need for her . form and documentation)
We are 26 April 2011 today and i am still waiting for the CSQ of my husband and I.
I would like to know if this is the normal procedure as it is taking lots of time as my medical will expire in November 2011.( yeah, that is d normal procedure. on CHC part, if they are able to get ur new application even 1month to the expiration of this Nov 2011 date, they still will work fast to ensure u av ur visa b4 medicals expires, hence ur greatest challenge lies with BIQ.cos if BIQ did not issue these csq CHC hands will b tied and they will b able to justify their not issuing ur visa b4 the expiration of ur medical. it took u 9months to get ur first CSQ, if a new file/dossier number will b issued for u, then u will have to restart by queuing but if the old file number will b used for u, then it means ur file will b assigned rightaway but if on ur part u didnt submit freshly filled form plus ducumentation, the whole thing will just foot drag
Anyone can share their experience to suggest why it is taking so much of time>
Any comments will be highly appreciated.
Rgds
