Hey guys I need your opinion!!! Imoprtant!!! Can you share your thoughts and give me some input, please?

I am thinking (only thinking for now :)) about going to Quebec on Working Holiday Visa (it's a 12 month work visa that allows you to work and gain specific international experience )

I have lodged my application for QSW two weeks ago.

Would applying for working holiday visa affect my permanent residence visa in any way?

can you provide further details of this working holiday visa? i havent heard of any such thing before.

@Satya... there is a a ODF for points to be given for profession..you may consult it..because honestly i got no idea about the profession u r talking abt..

@Wingofmaybe... please share details abt this visa!!

Its a temporary work permit up to 12 months. some countries have an agreement with canada for this program which is called working holiday canada. it allows students, grads to gain international experience in any field and you can legally work there for up to 12 months. you can use this program once in your lifetime.

I want to apply, we'll see if i get it :) this would allow me to get valuable quebec experience and once i got PR I would be already somewhat quebec-experienced.

but I heard that chances are weak to get temp. work permit when you're applying for PR coz its only temp and you have to come back to your home country when you're done with the program.

Any input???

Ok nice best of luck!! i have no idea abt it..

hi jayajay....

so v r in same boat.....can i know how much exp u hav........

I have about five years experience in process design in the oil and gas/petrochem industry and i just feel getting a permit might help my application although it is not compulsory u have to get a permit before making an application. However i would like to apply for one to be on a safe side. you could visit the OIQ website for information on application for a permit.
