I see... No, his co-worker who applied in 2013 was not affected by the Typhoon at all... He's from the philippines, but he does not reside in the area that the typhoon hit.. And i'm not a nurse.. :( Nonetheless, 40 months is an awfully long time for waiting. :( Now i hope we would have applied FSW. We cant apply for both FSW and CSQ... sigh sigh....

Your husband's co worker is a good example that the processing time may vary. In Phillippines, step 1 in processing would take 40 months then 3 months for step 2 and maximum of 9 months for step 3, so thats a total of 52 months just to get the csq. And about 7 months for the federal part.

If your husband's co worker will be interviewed this september that means it took only 18 months for the 3 stages instead of 52 and thats because he's a nurse (priority aot). Therefore the processing timeframe they listed in their website may or may not apply to you depending on many factors like your AOT and also depends on the officer reviewing our files. But lets all stay positive as theres a big chance that things may go quicker now because the program is already close so that will give them more time to process more files :)

Hi Jenalby,
Thanks for the Info. I had given W2 forms for my US tax returns and Form 16 ( Given by the employer) for India tax returns. What documents should I get for India now? Is there any way I could get them from Taxation department? They given me 90 days to reply to this request of documents.

Thanks for your reply.
Anand
You should apply for tax returns in the income tax office,or even you can hire a chartered accountant to do it on your behalf.Any copy in electronic or digital format or even form 16 is not accepted ,only ITR-V form is accepted. If you have an Indian degree u need to get transcript from your University, ignore it if you have already submitted it..

I know how it feels, however you can apply for FSW too simultaneously !but once u get CSQ you should chose which process u wanna go ahead with.

HI anand,
For how many previous years income tax returns have been demanded by them.

Hi
In which cases do you fill this form.
Déclaration d'un candidat ou d'une candidate exerçant une
profession ou un métier réglementés

Do you have any idea or any information ???

No, I dont think it's okay to apply for both. On their website, they say if you plan to settle in Quebec, then apply for QSW. Plus they will find out, inthe QSW application, we say we want to settle in Quebec, and in the FSW application we say we want to settle elsewhere in Canada. That'll be like, self-contradicting, right?

People have done both and dropped one at the csq stage successfully.

I believe it will be safe because application is just showing intent or interest in a province. Once selected, that is the time you decide where to go.

I have to agree with @Preferred on this one.

A big CONGRATS JAVZ4!! your timeline gives me hope. Please keep us all up to date with your progress. By the way did BIQ give you a "priority" QSC?

Thank you.
I'm basically at the last step. It should take another 15-20 days to get my passport back with my visa.

To date, I still don't know why they put my file on priority. There is nothing on my file that can give me that status (not that I'm complaining :P) since I do not have a valid job offer, my AOT is 6 points , so I must assume it was a mistake. ::)
