Hi iya ibeji

Thanks for sharing your experiences...But will you pls confirm how do you know that you have been assessed with the new rules?

hi sunnymks,

i was sent an "intent to reject" an in the mail they recalculated all my points based on the new rules and asked to submit docs that will increase my chances or my application will be rejected.

note that the intent to reject came Dec2013 and i had also received a mail in Feb 2013 to submit fresh certified docs. i have now complied by sending the IELTS (which wasn't in my original application) and proof of social security deductions. i don't have any point for AOT as my job is no longer on d list. you will think that since i submitted my application since sept2011 that they will cut me some slack, bu nooooo they are still very strict which is so unfair. i dropped from 65points to 52points cos of the new rules :( :( :( :(

anyway, now i wait for their verdict. i didnt send french cos i was given only 90days to comply and there is no way to get any french test result in 90 days(and i think B2 is ridiculous)

Thats the delimma im also in.
In my personal opinion its less likely to change the req to b1.
Im also currently on a2 level n feel b2 is quite difficult to attain being not in a french environment. I think its too much to ask. If one is doing good in his professional field then how on earth one would take so much time out to attain b2(having no background of french)
The ones who applied in 2011 and around shouldn't be treated under new rules as its so unfair.
So much of time alrwady been gone.
I have been asked gor dome docs too. What docs were asked ftom u?

I will seriously think about going for b2 or drop it out altogether. Since if im not able to reach then again more time wasted . I believe one has to assess wisely according to ones own parameters.
Hello Friend,
I applied for Quebec in December 11th 2013 and did not get any response from MIC. so should i contact them or just wait. because my profession is nursing.
Secondly i have a 64 points. so do i need to learn french, because 63 or more points have adaptability for an interview. what do you recogn?

Its quite Unclear now; Whether you should go for french or not, if you have applied as an nurse & you have enough points(i.e 63 or more) you can apply without have french & You may also be granted for the CSQ. For more info you may follow the below pasted link & kindly also share your experience...

Any thoughts on the new express entry system that will be implemented on jan 2015 and how it will affect the qsw program?

Did you get the aor?
I think still its too early to call. You could also drop an email to them. Also depends on BIQ n country of residence.
Regarding nursing profession well can't say how much they are asking. But if you see your application date then looks like under new rules with b2 level of French.
The interview will certainly be in french.
Hope this helps.

This link shows the processing time after receiving CSQ ,Abudhabi is the VO for all Middleeast countries which has a longer processing time of 36 months ie 3 years....annoying...

Good luck hope you will get B2.

Hello jimmy80,

i would like to ask you a question, since your case is somewhat similar to mine.

First, here is my current situation:

-Quebec application sent 10 September 2011.
-AOR received 3 October 2011 (Office: Damas/Montreal)
-TCFQ results C2, C2 AND IELTS overall 7.5 sent 18 October 2013.
-My file was updated with TCFQ and IELTS on the 26th of November 2013.

And of course i didn't hear from them at all and when i did call them, they said my file is complete and everything is normal, still not a single action has been taken regarding my file, nothing...no processing, no waiting list of an interview date...nothing....nada. :-\

Here's my background:

Age: 30
Male / Single
Education: Bachelor degree in Computer Science
Working field: Information Technology 3+ years experience
My brother holds a Canadian Citizenship and my sister is a Canadian Permanent Resident
I Currently reside in Egypt

The question is, i've got a job offer outside Egypt (currently i'm not working, so i really need this job), it's in Dubai. Now if i take the offer and send them an update with the change of the country where i reside. Will it affect my application in terms of more waiting? change of office from damas to Abu Dhabi? i read somewhere on the canadian immigration site that the waiting after csq is received average 14 months, and 36 months for Abu Dhabi. Thank you and if anyone knows something about changing the country of residency while waiting for CSQ please reply to my post

please somebody give a good news, everytime i read the thread everyone is suffering from, waiting waiting and waiting, it seems the whole BIQ is enjoying holidays inspite of working on our files.
